PoLiX Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 In 48hrs we have had almost 15" (7" in 24hrs) of rain in port orchard/bremerton/silverdale area (I live in silverdale, family in Po-Town). Sat-Mon have gone from 22* heavy snow with 7-8" of snow on the ground, to a record high of 60* today and heavy rain. 3 left over cells from typhoons out in asia, and besides the wind, nothing we'd ever have expected from them. Earlier today there was no way in or out of any of the 3 cities due to mudslides and flooding. I've lived here for almost 23yrs now, and have NEVER seen anything like this. Homeland security driving around, cities have literally run out of cop cars and barriers to block roads, there is 6 pages of closed roads in my county alone. I took a lot of pictures of the snow, I'll share later. So crazy to think something I thought yesterday morning looked like a post card snow storm, turned into this.
»T-Man Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 eww that sucks.. what some of our sun?? lol
Samapico Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 First snow storm of the season here ~30-60cm of snow over 24-48h
Shock Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Wow, we had near 60F weather, then some big time thunderstorms, and then some snow in about 10 hours.
Dav Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 that sucks. Weather has been crap in the UK as this summer with flooding. Im worried that the winter rain is going to cause problems with the water levels already being high after summer. All this tells us only one thing.Time to reduce your carbon footprint people.
Drake7707 Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 All this tells us only one thing.Time to reduce your carbon footprint people. This is the result from 20 years ago, so it won't change immediately

wub Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 70-40 here for about the last two weeeks. Good old fortworth texas where the weather changes as much as Brittney spears hair.
PoLiX Posted December 4, 2007 Author Report Posted December 4, 2007 Wouldn't have been all bad if I didn't goto bed at about midnight with 8" of snow on the ground, and woke up at 6am with completely green grass.. That + 80mph gusts (130 on coast), and all the water saturating the ground, caused for a huge mess... Still a few roads into and out of town closed, as mudslides are holding back lakes of water, and a few bridges got washed out... little nothing creeks turned into full blown rivers and the roads couldn't take it. Now it's just unseasonable warm and sunny, so kind of nice, helps clean up. Well, that and still in a state of emergency. Fema, Homeland security, all sorts of people driving around still.
tcsoccer and neptune Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 The problem is when the snowplows plow snow off the road into your driveway. We live on a dead-end, so sometimes the plow doesn't come all the way down the road.
Audry Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Dude, here we got 40 cm of snow in one day. Way to start winter And its just the beginning!!! DAAAAAH HELP!!
Dav Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 heh im getting used to sub 10c and pissing down with rain. I hate winter. I suppose at least this is what its supposed to be like at this time of year. Last winter was abnormally warm here.
Hakaku Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Here at least, it snowed a lot for the first time 2 weeks ago (15cm), and hasn't stopped snowing since really. Last thursday/friday were the worst, with like 50 cm of snow, and since it's not stopped snowing. They say another big round of snow is soon to arrive, but I don't care, I like snow.
rootbear75 Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 we got a slight dusting this morning... its already gone now (was gone about 3 hours ago)
ESCANDAL0SA Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 i'm not looking forward to driving this winter. i'm gonna try and avoid it as much as i can, don't feel like getting into an accident. stupid people don't know how to drive in snow.
tcsoccer and neptune Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) Basically, you just called yourself stupid. Edited December 5, 2007 by neptune171
LostAndNotFound Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) 70-40 here for about the last two weeeks. Good old fortworth texas where the weather changes as much as Brittney spears hair. I live in Boyd, Texas. It's about 35 miles north of Fort Worth. Howdy, fellow Texan. This was taken during our biggest snow storm at the first of the year:http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2190/winteratjaymesir4.th.jpg It's actually pretty impressive.
