  1. To find a girl, you need time and money
    Therefore:
    Girls = Time * Money

  2. Time is Money so:
    Time = Money

  3. Therefore
    Girls = Money * Money
    Girls = Money2

  4. Money is the root of all evil
    Money = sqrt(evil)
    Money2 = evil

  5. Therefore:
    Girls = evil

saw this before, but why is it Time * Money if girls are time AND money. it should be Time + Money, so this whole thing is false. blum.gif

A boolean AND is translated to *, while OR is +

And even in non-boolean situations, AND can be a multiplication, like if something is proportional to A and B, it will be x = k*a*b

And... this is soooooooooooooooo old

I heard that 5 or 6 years ago.. not even on the internet

First, this is so old it's not even funny anymore, second, it's logically flawed anyhow since the statements the conclusion is derived from are not absolute truths as the 'thesis' seems to imply. "To find a girl, you need time and money" which isn't true. With time and money you could find a girl, but the converse is not necessarily true. "Time is money" can be true, but it's obviously not always true, since the time we spend on these forums, for example, is obviously not yielding us any money. "Money is the root of all evil," that's not true either, money can be a root of evil, but it's hardly the root of all evil. There are plenty of people who commit evil acts for motivations other than gaining money. So to conclude, the entire argument, while appearing to be robust at first glance (due largely to its basing itself off of commonly held 'conventional wisdoms'), actually falls apart like a house of straws when one takes a closer glance.

Congrats, you just disproved an internet joke that no one took seriously anyway.

That's what people who are unsuccessful with girls say.

Normal guys all know that girls are not evil. They are just white noise after awhile, a snow screen on a television.

"You know what today is?"

"Huh?"

"Don't give me that you !@#$%^&*. You know it's my birthday, AND our anniversary. It's both."

"K."

"I hate you. You have a small !@#$%^&* too."

"Well, your vagina smells like cottage cheese."

"What?"

"What?"

"What did you just say?"

"I'M ONLY PRETENDING TO UNDERSTAND YOU. All I hear when you open your mouth is TSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
