Sean Taylor

Redskins free safety Sean Taylor died this morning after being in a coma since early Monday. Around 1am Monday he was shot in his upper thigh by an intruder in his house. His girlfriend and 1year old daughter were uninjured, but he was listed in critical condition due to blood loss from having his femoral artery severed by the shot. Suposedly he squeezed a nurses hand at one point yesterday, giving some optimism, and it was reported he awoke from the coma, sources now say he never came out of the coma before death early this morning.

I wonder what really happened. It really sounds like it was an intentional 'hit'. A knife left on his bed a week before this, and his phone lines cutout the day before. Pretty weird situation.
