NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Her job wouldn't be boring, as its likely one of the jobs that evolves the most. You will constantly have new projects, people and opportunity. NB, good idea, but she'll eventually become bored of the job. What's the point of living if you're just going to follow the exact same routine every single day? I feel that the problem with the new generation. It's been projected by the time the new generation is 28, they will have held over 8 jobs. I'd rather stay with a company for 30 years, retire in my early 50's with my fat pension, great 401k and be able to consult, if/when I want for the rest of my life. If you constantly change jobs you better hope on good investments, and you'll be working for a lot longer.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) in a week i work about 58 hours, sometimes up to 72 hours when i don't have school (may-august, december). !@#$%^&*uming that i do work 58 hours all year around, thats almost 140k, my salary a year is over 140k, before taxes. oh, and i have thought about quitting school, but that's not where i wanna be headed. my job is just temporary, until i graduate with my degrees, find a job. money isn't everything to me, i'm not as money hungry as you all think i am lol. because the job im gonna get will probably only make about -100k/year. NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 I think we should do a special on LOSA for CNN, its not everyday a young adult makes almost 5 times the national average in salary for a job that usually requires 5+ years of experience. !@#$%^&* even the top 10% of people in your profession don't earn half of what you make. Specially being the average full time college student puts in between 40- a week into school, can be up to 120 for architechture students. So say 60 hours for school (average), and 58 for work you don't even sleep 8 hours a night. You would definately make the front page.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 i dont put in 40- hours a week into school lmao. more like 9-10 hours. full-time = amount of credits you're getting. and im in the entertainment industry... you dont need experience lol.
NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 !@#$%^&* back when I was in college if you took 15 credit hours, you spent more than 15 hours a week just inside a classroom, not including the studying/work requested out of class and labs. And I do believe it is a federal standard that to be considered a full time student a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester is required. Maybe JDS really is Bill Gates...
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 keep in mind im studying in Canada and i usually do my readings at night or when i'm off work on the weekend... i dont count that towards how many hours i spend at school. at my university, a full-time student is someone who's taking at least 18 credits a year. half semester courses = 3 credits. full year round courses = 6 credits. classes that require more work (essays, etc.) = 9 credits. a full course load = 30 credits and right now i'm at 24 credits.
NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Maybe I should have gone to college in canada...
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 i love it here. but with me, i don't really need to study everyday. most of what i'm learning is common sense. i'm taking courses in kinesiology, psychology and sociology.
NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Most of college is common sense, just when you get into labs and project work that take up a ton of time.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 well...kinesiology, pyschology and sociology doesn't require labs. kinesiology... the only lab that i have is just physical activity... participating in sports, or calculating oxygen intake, stuff like that.
NBVegita Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Maybe I should have chosen a different profession.
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 i really didn't have any other choice... science isn't my best subject, nor is math. i've always been best at english... courses that require writing essays, analyzing situations, etc. at one point i wanted to be a forensic scientist but i can't stand blood, so that was out. i'm happy with kinesiology though, it's a broad course, so you can go in any direction after graduating.
X`terrania Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 !@#$%^&*, scared me when I noticed the board moved around.
Shock Posted November 22, 2007 Author Report Posted November 22, 2007 It moved back to Asia... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 (edited) all jokes aside, shock. please enlighten me with your accomplishments. i don't see any and i'm starting to feel as if you should've been aborted. what a disgrace to society. i feel sorry for your parents to have such a worthless piece of !@#$%^&* living under their roof with no potential of ever moving out or getting married, and in this case, having a future. ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 lol. typical of shock. when he can't respond and he's stuck for words, he looks for a way out. either running or agreeing with someone else (like this, trying to make it seem as though he doesn't care when he's mad as !@#$%^&* lmao). nice try covering up shock. but, it's time to let SS know what a !@#$%^&*ing low-life !@#$%^&* you are. let it alllll out.
