ah good call, if you dont have the exp for those good items, its kind of hard to spend your money on uM w/o playing for a while previous to getting the $

Lets look at this thing with common sense. Your post was about too much money being granted for bases, and the recieving players ability to abuse that money.

Do you realize how much of that 20 million I put into the economy? Not put back, put in-to the economy. Money from the sky. The more money Dr Brain gives me, the more I give to players. I gave you money Sention, along with countless others, I have 600k left. mega_shok.gif

Do all the prized devvers team up on ^pwnage and own everyone? No.

Do they cobalt when theres a packed base? No. (ok sometimes)

Do they play actively? No.

Would you like to be playing in 7 bases made by a drunk? No...

Would you rather get rid of the cool graphics and half the items in the ?buy list? No!

The most handy thing about an absurd amount of money is the ability to buy/sell without worry. While the most rewarding things about the entire situation, and the words to sum this thread to a conclusion:

1: You get new bases to play in, graphics to please your eyes, and items to have loads of fun with.

2: Money from the sky put into the economy.

Well, technically when the excess of money floods over to other players, that makes everyone else max out sooner which also brings about resets sooner (or simply over-powers an entire team). I wouldn't mind seeing the ?give command locked for anyone who has gotten such a reward.

Yea, personally, I think ?give should be taken away completely.

And it doesn't really make reset too much sooner, maybe a day or two. I never gave more than 100k to an average player.

I'm going to have to side with Sention here. If you want to give one million dollars to everyone who creates a usable base, well, I wish I had a million dollars, but I didn't make a base, either. But enough to buy TW passes on every ship with two million to spare? Enough for a the most expensive alien technology? (Spider with a Temporal Core, anyone?) Those items cost ten million dollars because if anyone ever bought them there would be so much whining that the moderators would risk permanent deafness upon entering the zone.

As Sention's already said, no one has a problem with rewards for contributing (nobody that's bothered to post here, at least), but since nobody really NEEDS ten million, why do we need to give players virtually unlimited spending power until the next reset?
