Falcoknight Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Give me two more years of high school, seven or eight years of college, a year of internship, and three years of residency and I'll come on here and post about how I'm an anesthesiologist.
»Purge Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 and give me a total of 11 years to study and I promise I'll come on and gloat about how I'm an internist (internal medicine specialist).
Ghetto D Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I work at Lowes, As a Department Manager. My base salary comes out to about $34k USD. I get bonuses and commissions on pretty much everything. Plus the benefits are awesome. Health, Vision, Dental, Life, Short/Long term disability for myself, wife and child. Its all Pretax, and my 401k and stock options are great tool. I really like the job, I'm planning to stay and continue to move up. Store managers make 6 figures, and can earn a 150% annual bonus. My wife is a Preschool teacher (college grad.) I make more than she does We do ok.

»Purge Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I'm curious as to what careers us young people are aiming for in the future. so, as a "subtopic", what career are you planning on achieving and how did you develop your interest in this field? I am aiming to become a physician specializing in internal medicine (lots of work already... and I'm only a freshman pre-med student!). @root: no, I'm not jacking your topic. I just feel it would be best that I not create a new topic since this is similar to yours.
