Cancer+ Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Just seen it tonight. Thought it was great as expected but confused on the guy at the end. I don't want to ruin it for anyone. of course it was twisty and gruesome. What do you guys think?
PoLiX Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Gruesome, Twisty ending, but not as good as the others imho... The character who turned out to be working with him, well, yeah, he had no major screen time, and wasn't really, well, yeah, twisted.

Cancer+ Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 Yes, they only show him dead at the very beginning. Remember how the one detective went into the place where jigsaw was dying and in the third one, the door got shut on him...then in the fourth one, that cop shut that door....
ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 but... after the third one, you know that jigsaw is dead. at least everybody that i know who watched it established that jigsaw died. so the fourth one was kind of a mystery. and when the cop shut the door in the fourth one, i don't think that tied into the third one at all. i swear they're both different things =/

But at the end of the fourth one, the detective goes and looks for him and shoots that guy, just like the third one. Then the cop actually closes the door on him. Because on the third one at the end, the door closed but we dont know why. It happened at the same time, im 98% sure. I will look it up somewhere. ESCANDAL0SA Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) so... you're saying that Jigsaw is alive at the beginning of the fourth but dies at the end? and that the movie is kind of working backwards to show what led up to that? ohhh...and i was confused about this: remember that fat guy in the fourth one who owns that sleezy motel, who raped and abused women? remember how he had to choose between his eyes or his body, and he chose eyes. well, is he the same guy at beginning, where two guys woke up in a room chained to a machine thing in the middle. one couldn't see and one couldn't talk. the one who couldn't see was him right? MikeTheNose Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 The first scene at the beginning of Saw 4 is actually the ending of the movie. The events of Saw 3 and Saw 4 happen at the same time. The guy who gets trapped in the room with jigsaw will be the victim of Saw 5.

Since they both died. one with the dude beating him, and the other by getting his arms and legs pulled off. TECHNICALLY, Jigsaw is alive in the fourth one, since it is happening as the same time as the third one. But the beginning of the movie is the latest seen from Saw. That is the most current seen. Anything that happened after that was happening when saw 3 was happening.
