connection speed

so, last week, on speedtest.net my result was around 2200 kilobitsper second, and now it's 130

 

i'm on sympatico dsl "hi speed lite," no router no firewall

 

keep in mind that before the past 2 weeks, it was always at 130

 

 

can i get it back up?

Froot, my only suggestion is to get a better ISP. Sympatico is probably one of the worst companies in the entire world, and it's owned by the french. You do not want people like Cancer+ running your internets!!!

 

(and I'm in the same boat as candy, I'm paying for half of what I should be getting)

what plan do you have and were in canada do you live froot?

may be a long shot but have you run a trace in CTM? perhaps there is a router nearby playing up or something.

 

ANyway if you are paying for better then that phone them. If they don't fix it leave for a new ISP.

"hi speed lite," costs aruond 25-30 and i live in toronto

edit: couldn't make out CTM for continuum, lol. ill post results after i try DU meter

 

 

 

so this is what DU meter says. i get anywhere from 12-120 on "received," about 2-4 on "sent" and it says 175.3 kbps on the left side, w/e that means

only thing you can do is call and !@#$%^&* and then leave if it doesn't get better. Because as you can see from other people, your connection sucks. Even rootbears is better and he is wireless, that should never happen.
