TW kills all turrets you have attached.

 

Umm... does it use something with splash to kill them (so it also kills the lanc)?

Also, does point defence count as a turret?

I imagine the "turret killing" part is analogous to what ?id does to turrets... it just kills off the turrets.

 

According to the Moderators, Point Defense (PD) is banned in the Transwarp Hub in Sector 8. Hence, if your Lancaster has PD, it is banned from using ?tw.

The original use of TW was to get to a base fast.

 

The problem being the much cheaper ID Drives were pretty much better in every way than the 'original' TW (or at least the previous version of TW).

Well you can't warp from inside a base, or from the hypertunnels. Just outside of a base and in center.

 

Note: If you enter tw with flags, it should explode you. At least if you enter with 20.

 

Other than the ability to take flags through tw, it's fine. The most you can do is get a good rec, and who cares if someone gets a good rec?

 

The only problem is flags, its lame to chase a flagger and when hes about to die he warps to tw. I know flags in tw is illegal, but i dont think anyone respects the rules unless they get blown up.

Can I ask why you chose it to be legal? I just don't see it being anything but a really lame way to runwin. If you want to warp at last second to win you can set a port, which is harder when being chased than to type ?tw and you win a flag game. It's like once someone has all flags and not in a base they win automatically if they have a decently quick ship. I'm just wondering why there can't be an engine failure if you use tw with flags.

Stop whining, you could always camp at the tw safe and wait for them to appear and shoot bullets. It's not hard to stop a person from runwinning a game using TW.

After the Hub change, anything you can do in TW without hacking should be legal.

 

Flags in TW: legal

PD in TW: legal

Killing annoying buggers in TW: legal

Ball killing in TW: illegal, but we don't currently have a ball...

Mining TW: legal, but probably pointless

Summoning in TW: not possible
