Animate Dreams Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Reminds me of when people used to always release PC games like that... you know, like Doom did. Speaking of which, I'm about to go play some Doom co-op. http://i19.tinypic.com/8eh5yzd.jpg---SSCC Halo Sysop | Owner of SSCI Penis | Creator of Penis chat
Smong Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 Having played this a bit I'm not getting the full version. The game is in 3D with fixed camera points, it automatically moves between them as you walk around (a bit like watching a replay in a racing game). The graphics quality is mediocre, there don't seem to be any special effects in use. This is probably because it's supposed to have a cartoon look. Anyway, I am still surprised how much ram it needs to run, over 1gb. The Source engine runs fine on less and looks a lot prettier. The puzzles are ok, I'm sure if I use every item on everything else and talk to everyone I will eventually get through it. I wouldn't mind if it was easier, I'm more interested in the story than trying to figure out how I'm supposed to get past the next bit. There also seem to be a lot of dud items that don't do anything other than have a description. They might play a role in the other levels, but I doubt it. One thing that does seem certain is the 3 little guys you meet in level 4 are probably introduced properly in an earlier level.
LiDDiS Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Wouldn't it make more sense to release ep1 as the freebie? http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/1247/lamebanner.jpg

One thing that does seem certain is the 3 little guys you meet in level 4 are probably introduced properly in an earlier level. I have the full game. Most of it is pretty similar, it seems that they do always throw in a few dud items, but each "episode" gives you a new bunch of items, some will be held over, but those all have uses. And yes, those three guys are the focus of the first episode. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Donec tellus lectus, auctor id, elementum in, elementum at, eros.
