I was thinking, when the next reset comes, instead of losing many people to 1 crowded arena, how about have 2 arenas. Since with EVERY reset comes a major boost in population, why not have 2 arenas instead of 1 with 1 flag base getting flanked a couple times over. This would allow a 2 teams to duke it out in a base, and small center action, if theres 25-30 people playing. Edited by 11___________

Stuuuupid idea. JPs will be lower by a factor of 2, lameness, trade killing, two arenas to moderate.

I wouldn't say its stupid blue. There is enough jr mods and mods to moderate two arenas. And Anyways who would be stupid enought to trade kill?

if one crashed would the other go down with it? cuz if it did it would b useless with all the crashes the zone goes through

Add flag rewards. Currently there isn't really much difference between holding 1 flag or holding 19 flags. Reward the team with more flags with flag rewards periodically. This will also keep freqs with all flags content on not winning.

 

Special situations like population less than 5 or so should be considered differently, as we don't want people afking with flags overnight.

It is hard enough to get a good basing game going as it is with everyone centering or dueling, whatever. Focus on the flagging game or something. The teams woul be even more uneven if you start making new games

We've actually had this on the books for quite a while, but last I checked we hadn't done enough research into flagcore to be able to implement it.

Yeah, a periodic reward has been a goal of mine for a long time, but even in the bot days I wasn't knowledgeable enough to implement it.

 

Hopefully when I start writing the new flag modules I'll be able to see the points to easily add money rewards.

I really miss the old HS when we all fought over the ball and you would earn around 10k for scoring it in in a full game of players. King of the Hill wouldn't be too good since a cloaker on top of a full upgraded lanc with tw p!@#$%^&* would make it impossible to lose.

Note that:

If you're in a Lancaster, using ?tw or ?id will kill any turrets that happen to be attached to you.

But it's still the point that people like Blue will always end up winning since his ship is faster than most other peoples, and he can easily run in a bad situation.
