Samapico Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 Thursday and Friday, me and 3 teammates competed in an industrial engineering compe!@#$%^&*ion. We went to some manufacture where they had a specific problem about their production, and we had until friday midnight to think of a solution and make a powerpoint. We'll present the thing on Monday. We (well, I) made our new layout on Solidworks in 3D... and these pics are with Photoworks rendering...it's amazing how realistic they look. We also have a 20MB video in which the view makes a full rotation around the layout. The video took almost 2 hours to render :S
Cancer+ Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 What was the specific problem? And what was your guys solution?
Drake7707 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 (edited) oooh nice raytracing 2 hours is not much (possibly because there aren't many shadow rays per pixel, hence the shadow noise) , i remember my scene with my own raytracer took 41hours for 1 frame note to self: finish my newly improved raytracer >.> Edited November 4, 2007 by Drake7707
