rootbear75 Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 Whenever I click on play to go into a zone, it stops responding for about a minute or 2 before finally going into the zone.any ideas?
candygirl Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 (edited) Your laptop/pc is slow? Edited November 3, 2007 by candygirl
rootbear75 Posted November 3, 2007 Author Report Posted November 3, 2007 nope, just bought it in august
rootbear75 Posted November 4, 2007 Author Report Posted November 4, 2007 packetloss can do this i guessprobably that, as i do have a lot of S2C ploss from my campus..imma have to try this when i get onto a different network to see whats up..... (keep open till i do)
rootbear75 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Report Posted November 6, 2007 the laptop doesn't like you ?no, i suspect its the networki got the laptop shortly before leaving for college, and it worked fine on my home network
candygirl Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 Look in your Intel® Graphics controller and tell me what your refresh rate is. If its not set at 75Hz Try setting it to it.
candygirl Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 switch to classic view in control panel to make it ez to find. You should see Intel® Extreme Graphicsclick this icon you should beable to set it higher there.
rootbear75 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Report Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) like i said, im already using the highest refresh rate that im able to use edit: and that intel thing is on your computer... not minesee: Edited November 6, 2007 by rootbear75
candygirl Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 wow mine can go higher then 75. How old did you say your laptop is?
rootbear75 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Report Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) uhh 3 months? its probably just the graphics card you have and how would the refresh rate have ANY thing to do with it not responding?it was working fine before Edited November 6, 2007 by rootbear75
candygirl Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Your problem seemed to be the same one I had last year. All I had to do is up my refresh rate to 75.
rootbear75 Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 huh... i think sama's idea was right tho.. i think the PLoss is causing it, so ill try it later on another network
Samapico Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 I also doubt refresh rate could be the cause... Refresh rate could cause a low frame rate or something, but not much else.Available refresh rates mostly depend of your screen. Most cards can output anything frmo 50 to 75 Hz, but usually it's the screen that doesn't support these modes
candygirl Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 oh i found the one i posted.. My game did the samething but did it when i shut down the game.I had to updated the processors drive. This was diff from yours sorry.
rootbear75 Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 UPDATE: It does it even when i am on my home network
Cancer+ Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Does this do it with all zones? one zone? Also....is your resolution on Continuum consistent with the resolution on your PC ? EDIT: I dont think that has anything to do with it. I would check to make sure it is consistent thought. Check the refresh rate is the same as your os also. Maybe something. Is this Vista?
rootbear75 Posted November 10, 2007 Author Report Posted November 10, 2007 (edited) Does this do it with all zones? one zone? All zones Also....is your resolution on Continuum consistent with the resolution on your PC ?No, because TW doesnt allow my resolution, max in TW i think is 1280x768I have to lower it for that... my PC res is like 1680 by 1050 or something like that EDIT: I dont think that has anything to do with it. I would check to make sure it is consistent thought. Check the refresh rate is the same as your os also. Maybe something. I have it set to do windowed mode, so it shouldnt be a problem...
