Dr Brain Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 ID Failure Curve: Jump Failure Curve: Quote
11___________ Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Very nice. Once i can actually afford those, I might think about the graph. Quote
op2rules Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I don't understand it, ID costs more, but has a higher failure rate?? Quote
Dr Brain Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 ID is used for entirely different purposes. It's not possible to run with jump engines, for starters. Quote
op2rules Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Oohh, KK but where do I find out the information about all the ftl items that confuse me? On SS it says "faster than light travel" etc, kinda um... not descriptive? Quote
James1293 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 use Iteminfo or just look on forum...or ask pplID is used for entirely different purposes. It's not possible to run with jump engines, for starters. what is jump for anyway? Quote
Aceflyer Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 what is jump for anyway? As I believe the game indicates, it takes you to and from the hypertunnels (and normal space in each sector). Quote
Suicide_Run Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 ID Drive = Solo use, meaning only the player who activates it can use it. Also, its faster than Jump if you want to jump from sector to sector Where as Jump Drive, basically rips a hole allowing you and other players to enter in a short time frame to the tunnel or out of tunnel. ArcticxWolf Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 So how do you die INSIDE the id tunnel? where 20thors come outta nowhere and kill you, rather than engine failure bombing you when you type .?id [x] and what is the chance of that? Quote

You get killed inside the ID tunnel if you stay in the tunnel for too long. Basically it's to prevent people from hiding or waiting in the tunnel. Quote
Dr Brain Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 I seem to recall a 15 second limit. If you stay in too long, warp out, warp in, or otherwise misbehave, it kills you. Quote
ArcticxWolf Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 I seem to recall a 15 second limit. If you stay in too long, warp out, warp in, or otherwise misbehave, it kills you. Ahh, that clears things up. And also, is there a certain length you have to p!@#$%^&* to get out of the id place? If you dont touch anything, you get warped when you recharge to full nrg, but i can reach the base by thrusting through the id tunnel. I was wondering how long it was. Quote
Boldot Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Get to the end of the tunnel. It's pretty simple, you start on the right, and it has the exit warp near the end on the left side. Quote
tiss61 Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 (edited) dr brain should make id tunnel mine proof xD cause i made over 200 bty once mining in id tunnel xPlike i just id in, mine and id out. wait a few seconds... repeate Edited December 12, 2007 by tiss61 Quote

Dr Brain Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 It'll kill everyone on your team, yeah. Quote
Matrim Cauthon Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 question: when your attached to a turret and you id, does it kill your whole team, or does it still kill only you? Quote
Pity. Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Kills the whole team, it has a huge radius as well. Quote
