ok i understand lag and packetloss but is it fixable?

i have brand new comp/vista/wireless i-net/2ram/ati radeon graphics.

my usual packet is close to nothing & up to 5 (me to s)

nope...

ping is the time it takes to get from ur computer to the server and back

packetloss is the percentage of packets that are "lost" and need to get resent

lag is what happens when your ping and packetloss is too high

 

as for the lag:

if your ping is too high,

1) stop downloading stuff while playing

2) get a better connection

 

if your C2S packetloss is too high

1) get a new router

2) get a better connection

3) stop downloading !@#$%^&*

4) disable your firewall

 

if your S2C is too high

Usually nothing you can do about this... as this is a problem with the stuff coming from the server

you CAN try:

1) getting a new router

2) Getting a better connection

3) getting a new ISP

4) Stop downloading !@#$%^&*

5) Disable your firewall...
