I'm sure most of you may of heard about this as it's been going on for some time.

Your thoughts on it? Where could she be? Is she dead? If so who killed her? Where would the body be? It's like Cluedo!

It's just a matter of how young people are in the U.S. and upbringing. A lot of kids/teens/young adults just don't watch the news.

I think the parents definately have something to do with it, or at least one of them. There are too many convenient details, and I mean cmon why would you leave your young daughter alone, no matter how close you were to her, in a foreign country?

If I had to bet, I'd say she's no longer taking breaths.

used to watch/listen to the news often

i dont feel like watching it anymore since its not from my hometown

and i dont listen to it anymore cause i dont have a radio in my room, and i dont think theres any pure news stations around here

the media has been having an orgy over this for far too long.

I'm not saying they should do nothing, but many kids go missing and don't even get a single mention on any news. This instance has been months of reporting with very little happening and many more improtant world affairs to report about.

Cute little blonde haired white girl.

It could be that the media were suspicious of the McCann parents in this case and decided to make a big deal out of it for that reason. Or it could be that blonde haired little girls who go missing are always the source of media orgies.

Americans who don't watch the news might be inadvetantly showing intelligence.

What's the difference between Madeline McCann and a Porsche?

I don't have a Porsche in my garage.

LOLZ

no one is laughing....

...

I havn't heard a ton about it but have heard it 2-3 times on the news, though im in america so I guess coverage of it is lower.

I gotta agree with dav though, the media makes huge deals abotu some missing people, while others are totally neglected.

But thats the way the world works.

I agree with NBV, i've always said it's something to do with one or both of the parents, there's just something strange about them which tells me that they're guilty of something.

As the investigation was going on there was a rumor that the father was not her real dad and apparently he didn't know. Not sure if this is true or not though.

A worldwide helpline has been put up for anyone to ring up and help if they have seen her. There have been several sightings but the press and police just say that its someone who looks like her.

I'm wondering just how much longer it will be before the parents take the wrap for this. If they didnt do it they need to be at least charged for leaving their 4 year old unattended. IMO that's just plain stupid and neglectful.

you gotta child unattended or they'll never learn to be independent.

but yeah, that sort of sucks for the parent. random crime not really anything they could do.

My guess is some pedo's got her in his house... no sense in killing her until she gets to like 6. !@#$%^&*, you could probably convince a four year old that you ARE her father and keep her around for longer.

Wow I guess anything outside of America isn't really known to Americans.

Actually been following this story for awhile, and I am 18 and live in fricking Iowa.

I'd say she's dead, but anything is possible. Afterall, Elizabeth Smart survived for a long time because her kidnappers became her caretakers, or something like that. Only to return home to be exploited.

Her parents are quite irresponsible.
