I know it's late but the forums seem to be really boring at the mo so its better to talk about something rather than nothing.

Anyone watch the game? If so what are your opinions on the game? Do you really think that Try should have been disallowed?

that was a try, no doubt about it. The foot was up before the line and the ball was down before his knee went over.

I think if the try was allowed the game would have been different. England would have been able to play more defencive and retain the score line rather then resort to the desperation that conceded those penalties that lost them the game.

Did his foot hit the floor after it was raised before the ball was down? I thought he raised it and dropped it again.

England wouldn't have been so demoralised and would have definatly played better. I didn't think England played all that well in that game. Although everyone seems to disagree with me.

he got it up just before the line, it was his knee that made contact but the ball was down before that happened.

I suppose the ref must have thought a bit of painted gr!@#$%^&* brushed a stud or something but from all angles it looked fine to me and even the commentary which is supposed to be 'impartial'

refs are part of every sports... they can't be perfect

I don't even know what a try is though blum.gif

Could the refs check video replay?

But I've seen controversial decisions that did change the issue of a game in hockey, so it's pretty much the same thing I guess

they did check the replay and decided it was to be disallowed, not even the people covering it on the TV could see why.

Oh well. England did well as a team and have to move on (unlike football rugby can take such things in a dignified way). If England continue to play like that they will dominate in the 6 nations.
