I got a job offer this morning. and i wanna know what you guys think...

my dad said it raised a red flag as soon as i said the words "able to work from home"

Are you looking for such a job (help desk work) and have you put your resume online?

 

If it's a genius offer I'd say they aren't giving that much information but then again, I don't know the company nor your position on this.

$15-$20 to sit at home and work as a CSR for a social networking site? Doubtful.

Also, notice that every time your name appears there's a space, then a comma. That tells me that the email was automatically generated. They probably scraped your email from a website, then sent out that spam message. Also, if they don't bother mentioning where they got your resume from, then it's probably worthless.

Same happened to me. I get 3 offers a day from the same company, however Gmail's filters usually catch most of it.

It's a total scam.

 

One of my friends actually followed through with the process. Once they get your information for their application they just sell it away.

If you're concerned, why don't you just write a formal mail to them and inquire/inform yourself about the company, the job, the exact work involved, and payment method. A real person vs. a generated application and a website, your pick.

Don't take the job, seems bogus. Also, I would say not to put your resume online. You're way more likely to get a job you want by mailing cover letters + resumes to companies you're interested in.

ya probably.. i fowarded the email to my parents... i got my moms reply today

I think it's a scham. If they would have provided a person's name, phone

number, address, etc as a normal business then I might think it legit.

I'd just ignore it at this point.
