last weekish, my internet started crapping out

 

i fixed it by restarting my comp, but it stopped working again after another 20 mins or so

 

through MSN truobleshooting i found out that my "DNS seems unable to resolve ip addresses"

 

and instead of restarting i just push the repair button at the bottom of the troubleshooter

 

 

how can i fix this problem permanently

i've got no router and i'm on DSL

i tried resetting my modem

 

EDIT: i'm pretty sure it only happens when cont is open. once i dc, all my internet is down but i haven't lost my connection while not on cont so far

could be problems with your ISP or your modem.

 

but the dns server as far as i know is where your ISP is, so its probably something your going to have to talk to them about
