yeah but you only need water cooling when you over clock the CPU to melting point and a fan just wont do any more.

There are some very good fans out there now so you have to pump up the juice a lot before you get there.

laptops are statistically more expensive than desktops to get the same amount of power

!@#$%^&* I'll build you one, minus the water cooling system, as you definately don't need it lol

PM me with the specs you want.

and i basically want that computer

(something that shouldnt need to be upgraded at all for the next 5 years)

tho i want an estimate before u build it

Why dont u just go and buy those 500$ comps out there? They aint that bad and can work well for awhile before you need to upgrade it.

And yea, laptops are pretty dam useless unless u carry it around with you to places or ur in res in uni/collage

Define 'need' to be upgraded...

Do you want to be able to play the most graphic-intensive game that comes out in 5 years with all the maximum settings?

Or do you want to be able to use Word 2012?

Posted (edited)

i want to be able to play my games on full graphical settings..

i like them like that

like halo 2 atm is lagging like !@#$%^&* cause my video card sucks..

and since its still under warranty, any modification i do to it voids the warranty

(im looking at the 4-year accidental warranty, not mfr warranty)

and forget bioshock...

that wont even run on my laptop or computer

You could get all of that alot cheaper if you build a similar one yourself.

What PC are you using now? What are the specs?

Holy crap....that PC uses alot of power, better not leave it on all day otherwise the bill would be a little expensive :/

its called College... i dont pay for the bill

specs of my laptop

MY boss at my internship today (at national libary of medicine's office of high performance computing) had a computing magazine laying on his desk that I glanced through for a bit, though I can't remember which magazine it was. It ranked recent computer systems in different categories, one being gaming. I noticed the blackbird fell behind like two other systems that were rated better.

The bottom line: HP's Blackbird 002 earns the highest rating this editor has ever given a desktop PC. Its design rivals the Apple Mac Pro, it takes risks that benefit your upgrade path, it's fast, and it's compe!@#$%^&*ively priced. If you can afford it, and you want a high-end gaming PC, buy this one. End of story.

What do you mean 'isn't that great' ? The review says it's the best they tested yet... And I don't doubt it's probably the most powerful gaming machine on the market now...

But still, I wouldn't spend that much money on that... I don't see the point of having 160 FPS in Quake 4 when your screen only shows 60 and your eyes only see like 30.

And since I don't play recent games anyway, I don't give a !@#$%^&*.

Every shooter game is almost the same, so they all get boring (OH MY GOD I GOTZ THAT BIG WEAPONZ)... Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are more than enough for me. Half-life was fun. But once you went through it there's not much left to do. And I'm not a fan of getting my !@#$%^&* kicked by people who lag and spend all their day doing that online.

And... well... only games that require a bigger graphic card than your keyboard are shooters.

So I can still play any other good game I want without that huge !@#$%^&* computer that would cost me 10 times more than my current computer...

And I still have a pretty powerful computer... 2.8GHz dual core 1GB RAM and a 512MB 7300GT. I'll still be able to play my favorite games in 10 years so I don't care about upgrading much. In fact, all the games I currently play, I play them with every setting at maximum

oh, so now you like laptops?!

what happened to your precious iTouch?

you use the laptop to watch furry porn in your basement so your parents can't catch you, then you go rant on how cool you are for owning an iGadget

I like laptops and ipods :(

This is about PC and laptops not phones and ipods

Dell has a good pc for about $600.00

The only other shooter i play is socom 3 on the ps2. I think its funny sneaking up on some one and shooting them in the head lol

Too bad its not for the pc.
