I have a better solution, (or rather, a mul!@#$%^&*ude of suggestions)

1. Open up the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and check to see if Continuum or the install are floating around in there, if so kill the process.

-If this does work, change your theme to the default Windows theme, reboot your computer, and try installing again. If it doesn't, proceed to #2.

2. Change your theme to the default Windows theme, reboot your computer into SAFE mode (optionally with networking). Try installing Continuum.

-If this doesn't work, proceed to #3.

3. There may be a conflict with running programs, anti-viruses, firewall, or an actual virus. Try performing an anti-virus scan, remove the problems, and then run a registry cleaner and do the same. Then disable all firewalls available (including Windows XP's built-in firewall). Load the installer.

- You can optionally try and reinstall the Continuum installer in a different location / folder.

- If this doesn't work, proceed to #4.

4. If else fails, then I suggest this:

You can alternatively download a previous installation of Continuum (0.39pr1), then download and add these files in the same folder.
