tcsoccer and neptune Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 A Pee-wee hockey team gets ready for their first game of the season. They enter the ice to see they are facing an NHL team. They lose by 74 goals and find that none of them had fun and they all got purple, black and many different colors of bruises. Same with basing (With the exception of the bruises). It is no fun to base to a full team of pro's that dominate the base. Is this good for getting more newcomers to this zone? No. Is this good for the average player to have fun? No. Is this good for anyone but the people on the team? No. Teams need to somehow be more even. Its probably not even possible but just saying. BlueWyvern Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Professionalism*And too bad. What the !@#$%^&* do you suggest we do? Because there's nothing fair you can do about it. Those people worked for their skills and ships, !@#$%^&* straight they should be rewarded. That's like saying when a vet duels, it's lame, because the vet owns the newb easily. Quote
tcsoccer and neptune Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 Make a handy cap system..I don't know what they should do...I just like to whine Quote
zephoid Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) make alot higher reward for killing higher exp people.... i used to get 1k+/kill from a stock wb in old hs. and blue, just because they play for 10 hours+ a day shouldn't meen they can rape the zone every game. This topic was created to see if anyone has ideas for changing the situation.... not just to act !@#$%^&*y. Also, once events start, it will help balance this out. i remember i got 160k from one btywabit game cuz i had a 3k bty and bounce, super, disruptor and antimater space mines. Suicide_Run Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 neptune, shut up and stop whining as well stop bumping old threads. If you dont like players whom spend time to get strong ships, go play somewhere else. Quote
Shia' Tan Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 rofl i just think its ridiculous how much time these people have to devote to a game like this. obviosly they always win because they're always playing, which means they have more than anyone else Quote
cdrom Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 not nessasarly, i play play on weekends, most of the reason y most people dont have cash is that they dont learn to collect bty Quote
WongKonPow Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 ^ I agree I'm a decent player, not great, but decent, but I have trouble keeping money simply because of I don't know how to bty properly. Quote
BlueWyvern Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 You don't know how to bounty? Good for you! What do you want staff to do about it?This topic is more a rant and less about what should be done. Why? Because nothing can be done. Quote
Suicide_Run Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 (edited) Seriously, theres been far too many rants going on ever since reset.People also needs to spend their money wisely so instead of having multiply !@#$%^&*ty ships they get one concentrated ship Edited October 1, 2007 by Suicide_Run Quote
BlueWyvern Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Agreed, I built my warbird and I'm happy. There's not a thing that can go wrong. Quote
James1293 Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 make alot higher reward for killing higher exp peoplehigher exp reward anyway... imo. I only have 192 exp and i can barely kill anyone because it takes 500 to get anything good (tokamak, bigger ships besides lanc, beam array-for base spamming) i mean if someone has 192 exp and they kill someone with like 10k even if it was luck, i think they should get like 15 exp instead of 6... but thats just my opinion. Guest Moose Master Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Something can be done about uneven teams and it's really quite easy. Have the server take an average of the total exp from each team then allow people to join the lesser team until it's even. It would, of course, need to tell people what's happening. This wouldn't *solve* the problem but a team of 20 relatively new players versus 5 experienced ones is more fun for all involved than 5 newbs vs 5 pros. It would be great if for certain times of the day private frequencies were band and even better if during those times people were discouraged from freq-hopping to steal flags. This could be done by having more flag options. I'm going to post my flag suggestion in the zone development forum. Quote
Animate Dreams Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 A simple fact about HS, and any MMORPG, is that they reward time, and don't reward skill. Despite that, there are millions upon millions of MMORPG players. Quote
WongKonPow Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, i'm agreeing that staff can't do anything about it. Quote
Suicide_Run Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Theres not much skill needed in RPG since it depends on mainly equipment and level ani. James, that wouldnt work cause then people will get so much more exp than money and then ask ppl to give them money. Moose, ur first idea would only work if there werent private freqs and pub only has 2 freqs which doesnt work for HS. And theres already pub nights for your second idea even though it kinda got halted due to lack of manpower. HS is already newb friendly enough, no need to make it even more newb friendly Quote
JDS Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) the zone is fundementaly flawed. i dont think he was saying 'vets shudnt be better k bai'.. no he was saying even the teams, have the ASSS module even the public frequencys based on EXP.. it wouldnt be very hard team1 has 10,000 EXP, team0 has 10,000 EXP NOT HARD AND 100% BALLANCED SIMPLE SOLVED STFU hehehehe , someone already posted my idea, (il add that it should only apply to public freqs) Edited October 12, 2007 by JDS Quote
tcsoccer and neptune Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 Good idea, have a maximum ammount of EXP on each team, not players... Quote
