I'm trying to get ahold of a bot plugin simular to halo's KOTH, or EG's KOTR.

 

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one?

Have you tried asking Halo and/or EG for the plugin?

I can see what i can do to acquire the plugin for you.

it designates part of the map as the hill then teams have to control the hill for X time to get the reward.

no I haven't tried asking, but I don't think they'd just give it to me. would they?

i have an ASSS module for the exact thing halo does. i even added some extra's . this only works for !@#$%^&*ss though, not subspace so let me know if ur interested.

what does it hurt to say "i have one in ASSS instead". after all, u could switch to ASSS since it'sso much cooler. now i'm starting to se sig's wit' "sscb devestation" so maybe this isn't a noobzone...that's what i thought it was.

for some people its a lot harder to work in ASSS than it is in subgame

oops I just noticed my sig still said SSCB xD well thats fixed... anyways no its not a noobzone it was a big zone some time ago now its struggling back from death.

 

I'm hoping to get XDOOM to put in a customized KOTH plugin to entertain the few regulars when theres low pop. Even if he doesn't do it I'd still like to add a KOTH plugin to my collection.

Indeed, SSCI Devastation (formerly SSCB) is unlikely to switch over to ASSS anytime soon. We were at one point developping and converting over to ASSS, but we only had one main person doing all the work, who didn't have enough time to finish it (Hallowed). - None of us can really work with it because we can't code, lack time, or others don't want to convert to it because they don't understand it (because our current bot already does a lot, and porting it to ASSS is a lot of work).

 

So we're sticking to SubGame and Mervbot, because it's still being maintained, and it's what Devastation has always used. - But I'm not against ASSS, if we could develop it it'd be great.

yar i got the old dusty code, time to figure out how this !@#$%^&* stuff works, in all honesty it doesnt look very confusing.. . if i knew all the variables and functions it would be very easy..

 

lets just say ive made more ellaborate code for my Ti-83 plus.. this is childs play!

Anywho,

 

Gibbit, since i'm re-writin every plugin for the bot right now, I'll attempt to make a KOTH plugin too in a few weeks when I get all of the important plugins done (gonna get stuck on all of our games plugin)

 

Just post what you want it to do on our zone dev forum - and give a description of what you want it to do

sorta. I never got around to seeing if it works with sysop access, I'm sure it does though. It needed 2 lvz's, but I got them. I think doom just wants to write his own plugin anyways though.
