JDS Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) thinking back to the stats of oldschool warbird, it was jsut regular warbird + a discount then i look at nightswap and we have 2 +30's and no minus's if you are going to make the nightwasp so powerfull, you must contiuue the trend down the list of new ships, basicly each new ship must be the same + better as the old ship may i be so kind as to ask the stats for future 'oldschol ships' be as follows nightwasp (keep the same +30attack/+30 sentry)warbird (+40% discount, +15 income, +30defence, 0atack, 0spy, 0 sentryjavlin (+45% discount, +30 atack, +30 defence , 0spy 0 sentry)spider (+50% discount 0 attack 0 defence +30 spy + 30 sentry)levitian (+55% discount 60% casualty , +30% attack, 0 def, 0 spy 0 sentry) Edited September 26, 2007 by JDS
Aileron Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Hmm, actually the deduction numbers were going to be 35%, 50%, 65%, and % respectively. I know % deduction seems ridiculous but keep in mind that it would be for the last 1/6th of the round, and they would be so far behind pop-wise that they would be lucky if they could attack anyone. Thus JDS' plan means less deduction but more well-rounded abilities.
JDS Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 well i like your deductions alot better , my point was the 'oldschool' ships should under no cir!@#$%^&*stance have ANY negative stats
Aileron Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Well, the way I look at it, a ship with a 35% bonus to Deduction but a 15% penalty to Strike will still have a 20% bonus towards building an offense compaired to a ship with zeros. It would need more soldiers, but still.
JDS Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 you want minimal soldiers since you dont have alot of time to generate them thats why minus is bad imo..
Falcoknight Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 I honestly don't have much to say on this.. I played with oldskool wb last round, but my experience is skewed due that bug where everyone had hundreds of millions of points lying around, so with its bonuses I flew up the ranks, I really can't tell if it would be too weak or too strong right now.
ra$ta420 Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 could care less ,as long as someone cant play for 2weeks and win.
JDS Posted September 29, 2007 Author Report Posted September 29, 2007 my ships were pretty well balanced... why would you 'nottrust' me on this because im in top3???
Aileron Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Its how MMORPGs collapse. The staff keeps taking suggestions from the winning players, and each update tends to make it easier for those players to win. Then again we solved most of the problem by actually resetting once in a while. Still, your suggestion certainly isn't based on self interest. You probably aren't going to reset.
Aileron Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 I couldn't figure out what to do with the Sentry. Remember, it's still supposed to be a warbird, and are are way too many aggressive players out there already.
Falcoknight Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Sab still suxxors =( Someone has 50,000 of an item, I'll have like, 600 times their spy and sentry, and I can still only take out 100 items at a time MAX /me cries
Aileron Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 I've gotten some decent results against Syrus actually. Still keep in mind you are only lvl 9. If sab still sucks too much, additional levels can be added.
JDS Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 (edited) newbie newb aileron, way 2 fail edit:didnt make sense b4.. so this will suffice Edited October 2, 2007 by JDS
Aileron Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 Stow it...Now that I think about it, you've made your own contributions to this round already. We had a good two clan war, and you up and decided to create a third clan. The effect was to cut out all the income-producing players of your clan. If I'm not mistaken not a single 1337 soldier has UP higher than 150. No soldiers means no income, meaning that any aggressive player opposing you starves. I'm not going to whine about it...all I'm saying is that your tactic of not producing is very similar to the tactic of limiting soldier numbers, so stop whining about what I'm doing.
Falcoknight Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Once I'm done wasting all my cash on these !@#$%^&* expensive covert upgrades I'll be able to upgrade my UP a little. Probably won't want to get it too much higher than 200.
