aquarius Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 ?buy thors hammer500$ one time usebuy at gun shopone thor per ship(if organized, an entire team can still thorstorm) but hooray, no more constant thor spam) Quote
Dr Brain Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Moving back to one time use items for things like thors is a distinct possibility, but a lot of other things have priority over redoing items. Quote
cdrom Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 having this will only decrease thors from pub people, pro people will still spam thors Quote
Suicide_Run Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Aqua idea is nice and all but it makes thor lining even easier unless you make it so you gotta buy a "Thor Hammer Launcher" first cause otherwise, ppl dont need to use up an utility spot to get a thor. Quote
Sharpflame Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I am going with the 1 thor/siege pack idea. If we start taking out all the items in bases, it will be so hard to rush (1-time bricks). Buying 1 thor at a shop for one use isn't useful at all. Quote
zephoid Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 the use of thors is to kill the ppl line spaming either bombs or guns. minus that, a person can sit there for an hour and not die on even a decent team. with thors, a person cant stay in a single spot and spam for to long or die to concentrated thors. I do think there a bit overpowerd when pub games are going on cuz of the # of ppl playing, but my sugestion is to vastly lower the damage area cuz now its almost half the screen as damage area. maby also a bit more reduction of prox to make it more of a pinpoint wep that u cant just throw at nme and hit everything. Quote
Sharpflame Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I may be wrong, but if you weaken prox in any way, it'll effect Harpy Missile, Tacnuke, and all the prox mines. Quote
cdrom Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) my idea:add more thor proof walls, not fully thor proof like base 7 and 2 fr, but like maybe 1-5 random walls in every base that can stop thors from a certain direction for a little bit(maybe 1-2 lanc's length each??) Edited October 12, 2007 by cdrom Quote
got bounty? Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 HAHAHA Thor Laucher...That would be so cool! And allow people to buy thors 1k each, Max 3(to justify the expenses). Cd's idea is good too. Quote
X`terrania Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 Haha, I've played a lot of zones. Yeah, but 7, we were tight :/ Quote

That wouldn't work if you know anything about mapping if you tried to do that people would be warping all over the place on contact... Edited October 13, 2007 by neptune171 Quote
cdrom Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 was a thought...heres another...maybe a field that stops thors, like explodes all thors that contact it Quote

You dont have to throw those anti-thor tiles all over the place. Just replace the middle tiles of a 2-3 tile wall with the anti-thor tile. Quote
