That would be kind of difficult.

If there's 9, there has to be 10, because an odd number doesn't seem right. Then, how do we get into ship 10? blum.gif

id like to see suicides come back, support for .mp3 files and the reactivation of ?setemail in the near future.

Whilst i would like new ships there are some more important things to be done first IMO.

I don't really see a point in an offline play mode.

When subspace was first about and you paid for Internet by the minute i could see a point to practice before logging in.

Now internet for the vast majority is always on logging into a zone inst really a problem.

The only practical use for a play offline function is to test maps. Too bad with DCME you can already do that now... But if your testing needs to be settings specific, than yes, play offline is useful. I really don't know why it was removed to begin with...

*Edit* Worst comes to worse, you can always download an old Subspace client and use it's play offline option. Just remember whatever you have as local.lvl will be the displayed map.

If you are testing maps, settings and such there is no reason why you cant set up a test zone on your PC and be done with it.

The real thing that we need is to add more to the game itself, so dev aids like .mp3 support and additional features are the way to go rather then a play offline mode.

You can load a specific .cfg file for map testing in DCME... Though it is obviously not exactly the same as testing it in the real thing blum.gif

I'm ignorant on what goes into making and upgrading continuum, but from a logic standpoint I see a correlation between the main fellas time spent (with versions .37 and earlier) and the populations during those periods. I dont realize what goes into fixing bugs, but what seems obvious to me is that this new version is to fixed current player's existing problems and not drawing new people to continuum.

So if no superficial upgrades are going to be made, then what if anything is being done for the next year or two of continuum?

that already exists and is rather amusing for a good while

yes, i was just being sarcastic cuz its not on the continuum client

i would play it in 7th grade English class every day. More entertaining than MS word98
