tcsoccer and neptune Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Today at 12:40 noon, Leviticus was on a public team with me and about five other people. He took flags, went to a private team and then continuud flagging...Is this type of game play fair? Is there a rule against this? Last time I heard this was illegal... Quote
Dr Brain Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I don't think there's a specific rule against it, but the lameness one should cover it. Quote
Sharpflame Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 It's called flag trading, and yes, it's illegal. Someone needs to be there to witness it, sorry if nobody was. Quote
J.x. Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Hi Sharpflame,By witness, does it mean another player who observed the same thing or actually a mod or staff who was clued in/given the heads up and observed the occurrence through spec? Also is it technically against the rules to do this, or is it just part of the learning curve for us newbies like the old "Go upstairs and see the pool on the roof" trick. I'm talking about if a player rocks up on your freq and inquires through teammate chat as to which base flags are in, then minutes later has absconded with them to private freq & location. Not that this is happening a lot, but just getting a feel for the game & how rules are enforced also how sneaky one is allowed/expected to be ;D It's all in good fun as far as I'm (un)concerned however it's made me a bit suspicious of new players on the freq and suppose it could hamper teamwork efforts in smaller matches if everyone is doubtful of one another. Anywho if it happens would it be best to try contact a mod straight away or would it be advisable to just "Harden the !@# up" and make sure someone really is on your team before ya treat em as such.. Thanks J.x. Quote
Dr Brain Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Witness meaning moderator sees it first hand. Go ahead and report it, unless someone tells you not to. Quote
