Continuum .40 Issues

Warcraft 3 and Kaspersky anti virus 7.0..However, I installed the antivirus a week ago and there was no problem thats all.

Can you please add this to the list of possible reasons Continuum won't start, Polix? If anyone wants to research this problem, I'll gladly supply any information.

 

I intalled the .40 version of continuum and eg and other zones were red automatically. . .

Are you sure you don't have any firewalls?

I tryed uninstalling Warcraft 3 but still....the continuum dll seems to be messed up in the registry everytime I install it .running out of ideas

Max, I had to restore. Uninstall didn't work for me either.

Make sure you're using a UNIQUE username. Add numbers and whatnots to your name until you get a username that works, as someone else might already have registered the name(s) you tried before.

The problem is either !@#$%^&*ociated with a) the installer, or your windows settings (a.k.a. UAC)

 

If a), then reinstall Continuum from this specific link: http://www.trenchwars.org/downloads/Continuum040Setup.exe

 

Elsewise, Try installing Continuum in a directory other than Program Files. (such as your desktop or your do!@#$%^&*ents). -- And I doubt you'd need to, but here's info on Vista's UAC and how to disable it if the problem still occurs. By disabling it, it should allow you to directly download files into your Program Files directory.

 

Please post if the issue persists.

unfortunately I found another problem when I made a limited account............... ( I tryed entering my favorite zone Metal gEar CTF and I found out the Arena list isn't working nor anybody who I can chat with...............I went to trench wars and it was working fine.......The question is why METAL GEAR ctf is busted?

I dunno shock I got a pm from Knight the drunk mod some wierd stuff about a 1 week silence kai something......but he doesn't have the power to make the arena list not show up.

depending on the type of silence, whether its a *shutup, or a bot-ban, it can disable some commands.

ive seen this happen a few times when i tried to do ?messages in a place where i was bot-banned, it didnt do anything, so it could very well be that reason. its because all ESC - A does is send ?arena to the server

Well, I have a brand new PC with Vista. I just downloaded 0.40 and installed it. It works fine except for SSCU Extreme Games isnt showing up in the zone list. Theres probably an easy solution to this I just have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance...

Click on Zones and remove it from your list by double clicking on it. Then, click download and when it appears, double click on it again to add it to your zone list.
