Cheese Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 continuum .40 now randomly restarts my computer.although lately, all it does is randomly freeze my computer. not fully, because i have dual cores.it takes 100% of one of them,and i can ctrl alt del out,but task manager cant end the process.previous versions didnt do this. also, when double clienting,when it creates files,when it gets to 100%,you get a "can not load tallfont.bm2" error box, and if you try it again, it restarts your computer. Hakaku Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 If you multiclient (aka using run as), the second client cannot create files. It's been this way since forever.If you have restarting issues, then stop multiclienting. Otherwise, I'd recommend you reinstall Continuum completely, and see if the problem still occurs. Either your installation or another program is conflicting with Continuum and causing your computer to restart. Some programs or firewalls may be causing Continuum to load improperly, especially if they don't recognize the new version of Continuum or simply conflict with it. I ran into the problem described by a few other threads here, namely that clicking on any of the menu items - File, Edit, etc - would cause the client to completely freeze, then cause strange right-click behavior in other programs. I thought it might be helpful to share my 'fix' - I changed the skin in the registry, (fuzion or some such rather than the default) and that corrected the problem. Perhaps this should be consolidated with other fixes to this problem? Guest franx Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 I try to connect to a zone, it's not working i only see the Entering Arena thing, forever. When i need to download a text file to enter a zone it takes like 30 seconds to get it. When i try to download the zone list it says i might not be connected to internet. Then i try to play Wolfenstein Enemy Territory which is also an online game, its working #1. then i reinstall continuum 4.0, the same thing, can't connect, i had that kind of problem rarely recently but was always getting packet loss issues on Hockey Zone. But now i can't connect even on Extreme Games which has better servers than HZ. so do you know what is wrong?
