Good question, I'd think the public would be allowed use the files. Though we should add an announcment or something that says these files are free to use, as long as proper credit is given

Definition of proper credit, anyone? Perhaps provide some kind of standard for that

But I'm guessing the file archives can be accessed by anyone because anyone can register...

Though the Private archives forum should only be accessible by SSDev and Admin members

Had the same problem, the link the email gave me was incorrect, What you need to do is where there is a semicolon after the word activate, change it to a colon (might be other way around, cant remember).

So... what should we do with that file archive forum and its privateness?

 

Should we:

 

a)

-Allow anyone to view/download files (including guests)

-Keep a 'Private archive' forum where only registered SSDev members can go

 

b )

-Allow registered users (non-SSDev) to view/download files

-Keep a 'Private archive' forum where only registered SSDev members can go

 

c)

-Only allow SSDev members to register and post any files, including those that are not for public use

 

d)

-Allow anyone to register, and not post any 'private' files
