LVZ-related bugs

"Add item" does not remember last directory properly. It takes me 1 level up if I select multiple files, it seems. If I open 1 file, it seems to remember fine.

 

"Add item" does absolutely nothing with a large number of files (I'm trying to add 200 files but anything over 10 cause it to crap out - seems to be realted to filename-length - if I select long named files, I can load less).

Also, critical feature request: lvz image categorization! If I have hundreds of LVZ images, there is no way I am going to scroll through them all to insert them into the map. There should be categories - every category fills the list with its images. For example I could assign the categories "walls", "ground", "extras" for various lvz images. It should be a combobox at the lvz selection, probably. And possibly some treeview structure (with drag&drop) for !@#$%^&*igning categories (in the lvz manager, like usual, possibly).

yeah good idea, maybe a wizard to add lvz's quickly could be useful too (though any quick drawings/sketches/ideas for how it should look would be very much useful)

What kind of wizard do you mean? In the functionality aspect - what would it do (I don't quite see what you mean by "adding lvz's")?

 

Also, lvz walltiles, combo tiles (lvz + tiles placed on top of it), combo walltiles - this would be killer. I'll explain more tomorrow, maybe write up some detailed description. Tired and going to sleep now soon.

We were already thinking about that No need to explain more, I understand what you mean

 

I was wondering... is it really useful to be able to select 2 lvz images at once (left and right) for drawing?... I mean, we could use the right-click to pop up a useful menu directly on the image instead. Everything from delete image, move to... , change properties, duplicate (? for animations that use the same image with different time?), add new image..., Manage groups...

 

A combobox could be used to switch through different LVZ categories (I'd call them groups?)... kind of like regions, there would be a 'Add new group...' item

 

Add image dialog could look like...

 

File: [___________] [browse...]

(when multiple files are selected, "### files selected" would appear. Clicking it could allow you to edit the list of files or something)
