TMRY Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 I'm on right now, speccing over Bak-. He is using ID Drives every single time he gets low energy to avoid death. I've seen nothing about this being illegal, but it should be, because it is VERY lame...you could just macro it to center or someplace else, wait for your energy to recover, and go back. Exploiting this, people could easily get bounties in the 1000's if they are good enough to avoid waves. Roses are red, violets are blue, mods are nazis and we're the jews
smokey Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 you do realize that engine failure negates the usefulness of ID drives to bounty... right? and you can get much lamer than ID.
Dr Brain Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 It's lame, but they're right: engine failure makes it a rather worthless strategy for bounty. I do intend to put a delay like jump engines into ID when I get some free time (may be a while). Freedom is the right to be wrong.
Masaru Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Or even better, have an energy requirement to be able to ID... >_> http://llamaguy.com/sonofwaffle.gif"With Strength Comes Limits..." - Ex Vi Termini Jav > *
TMRY Posted August 20, 2007 Author Report Posted August 20, 2007 True, but a skilled player who can normally get, say, 200+ bty before dying could simply have it macroed, so that if it becomes absolutely necessary they can ID out of there. Then they get another 200 bty, rinse and repeat until engine failure occurs. Since it is a percentage and not a certain number, they could keep failing every time for thousands of times, or not get any after 5000 tries. I agree with Mas to put a energy requirement;that way it will strictly be used for getting places rather than avoiding death. Roses are red, violets are blue, mods are nazis and we're the jews
Footballstar8583 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 if he keeps on using ID wouldn't he die once or twice from the ID bot? http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb305/Gfxman1/Pokemon.gif
