just thinking a little lately, and with school starting up and me gradding and probably moving out. I'm resigning deva staff.

I've stopped being as careful as I used to be, and I haven't done anything right for awhile anyways.. but mostly I don't want to let SS become a "part of my life"; I don't plan on playing into my 20's or even after I leave home.

the only reason I've played SS at all for awhile is because I felt like I had to do just.. somthing for deva since I was staff. but I'm done with that blum.gif I'm out, even if tm deosn't remove my name I wont' do any modding/hosting, or even playing probably.

so there it is, and just for fun I'm adding a completely random and useless poll ;)

Don't do it because of yesterday's mistake ;) You're like Deva's #1 mod... Take a break, or a vacation, but don't quit >.>

thats not my reason, just what got me to decide to do what I've been thinking about for a few months already. if I stay involved with SS my grade 12 school year will suffer, like my grade 11 did. not happening. I'm quitting because I want to focus on school, and getting my job rolling.

Remember - SS is a form of entertainment.

Like many things, what is enjoyable in moderation can be disastrous in excess. If you suspect that you may have a gaming problem, you may seek professional help,

If you are worried about your gaming habits or you want to know more about the signs of compulsive gaming, answer these 5 questions

1 - Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gaming?

2 - Has gaming ever made your home life unhappy?

3 - Did gaming affect your reputation?

4 - After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and kill your enemies?

5 - Did gaming make you careless of the welfare of yourself or your family?

if you answer yes to 2 or more you are a compulsive gamer and should take some time off ss

Playing video games into your 20s/30s/40s is fine, as long as you don't over indulge. See ya next month(lol sorry, had to be said).

Hey everyone,

Gibbit, don't quit, Devastation wouldn't be the same without you. Just play when you can find time. Limit your play time to one hour or less, but try to visit etc. You can still drop by, quitting isn't necessary. Don't be a stranger!

Hope to see you sometime.

I'm just gonna be a rare visiter. Like XDoom before he started covering for TA by afking all the time.

OK I didn't mean quite as rare as XDOOM was, ya I'll play, but I won't be on for 6 hours, and might (but probably not) go to another zone or two if no ones in.

(rare = once or twice a week)

Bah, it's good enough for me. With school coming along, and with work, then homework, I'm gonna die too. Though I've been "dying" all my life, nothing will probably change.

All right man, I'm not saying i'm FOR you quitting (or playing rarely, whatever you plan on doing). But i know where you're coming from and it's a great idea to slow down ahead of time instead of trying while school is in. I'm a little worried about the same thing but i'm not going to quit for sure. I'll just move around my priorities. I always feel it's my obligation to check into deva every once in a while - or right when it's available after a long while. But i gotta put my school work ahead of that... Good Luck =)
