While we're on that subject there is a player by the name AmericanIdiot in DS right now. But I'm not asking him to change his name because I happen to be American. As long as the name isn't a racist slur or is clustered with swear words, I don't see the problem here. Cancer is also a constellation, and not just a disease. So this simply makes no sense to me.

I have to put in some word here. For one, the only way DS will ever die is if viligante decides to hand the zone over to someone else. I've seen DS go through this before about 3 years ago, with names I shall not mention. But they pulled through. !@#$%^&*onearth and Skywize thought it would be awesome to get the public of DS involved. So I decided to host some events to pull them away from public. After that failed for them they started recruiting people out of Halo into a chat and advertising for MG. Skywize thought he was going to get his way and viligante was for sure going to ask him to join staff again, because he !@#$%^&*umes he's the !@#$%^&*. Little did he know that viligante will not put up with abusers and bad staff members. The zone is very well still alive. We got everything under control yesterday before viligante even came back online. (Everything we could handle) and we still get as big of a population as we did before. !@#$%^&*onearth and Skywize all you did was make fools of yourselves, and you had to drag other people down with you.

It is funny they do have a lot of bots when I came there once, I didn't know what bot to pm me for what. The players don't really talk that much, but people say !@#$%^&* about vili and some others all the time. Pisses me off how sometimes, SSC won't kick off the most re!@#$%^&*ed owners, for whatever reason.

I doubt DS will die completely cause mainly half of pop is bots and the other half is just people who doesnt seem to notice anything besides whats coming/going to their ship when they play.

 

As for hiring/promoting people who doesn't really deserve that spot, it aint that bad. There was a time where staff members in DS came and went like Viligante was picking people's name out of a box every month. Between if you haven't noticed, the staff members in DS are mainly used for population boost when they afk. Not to mention the owner himself doubleclients while afk just to pop boost.

There is also a major element of people just coming straight here and blowing things right out of proportion rather then taking another route of complaint as would be the case in many other zones.

 

Whilst many quite !@#$%^&*ty things have happened in DS recently i doubt it is that much more then issues in other zones, only difference is on other zone people allow things to get sorted out internally rather then making front page news of it as a first course of action.
