Also, for those of you who don't know, SSHQ morfed in to www.ssbase.com when I lost the domain. I don't do news anymore but it still gets some traffic and it will probably be the central distribution point for the new version of Continuum along with SSDL.
BWHAHAHAHAHA

SSHQ morphed into SSBase sure, but not only do you not do news anymore, you don't do anything, period.

never said it DIDNT work with Vista... I am using vista now.

Its just vista is different than XP in the way it stores files. I found almost all of the zone data and logs in some odd folder called Virtual Store

lol I wasn't saying you did, I use Vista too, that's how I could reply to your thread.

But it was written in absolutely every announcement about 0.39, for example:

These "Problems" include:

- Graphic problems

- Crashing

- Glitches

- Windows Vista

- Not being able to open Continuum

- Ect.

The only actual time when Continuum wasn't working on Vista was in certain computers during the betas of Vista. All other cases are most likely directly related to UAC, and in the rare event, some firewall (though I haven't heard anyone complain about the such causing Continuum to malfunction).

There have been other reports besides those reported here. Polix and some other folks were gathering those reports for bug feedback. Problems were not widespread as far as I can tell but I tried it out this morning on a Vista box and all seemed well, minus some funky graphics issues that arose from a dual monitor setup. Not a Continuum problem.

Also, Syrus should really invest in some non-bunching panties. Seriously dude, it would give you a whole new perspective on life. smile.gif

I'll un-bunch my panties as soon as you get off your !@#$%^&* and do something that helps the community. Seriously dude, go back to SSBase where you do nothing, and reply to no one's requests for help. It's also nice to see that you've been registered here since 2004, yet you waited 3 years to make a post. Did you finally find a way to escape from under your rock?

You ran one of the more successful sites in this game's history (as a matter of fact, it was the site where I first downloaded Continuum) but did nothing to help the community you served after it's demise, except put up a site where people can go to fill out a form which gets sent to a bunch of inactive council members who will never read it, and if they do read it, will do nothing to help anyway, not even send out an email.

So go back to your site, and continue wasting the community's time. We're trying to do something positive for the community here, so don't try and bring us down with your lazyness.

uhm, even though you have a point Syrus, I think it's good Mackieman is here now - let's not scare him off.

(yes I'm an optimist)

Instead we should try to discuss a solution to the problem(s) you mention in your post. I'm sure Mackieman is reasonable.

I have a great solution, mackie, quit being a lazy !@#$%^&* and actually do your job, which you've made for yourself (that goes for the rest of the council who do nothing).

Why don't you hand your powers to him rather than have SS die in your vulcan death grip?

Mackie couldn't make that call on his own, the SSC would have to make that call as a whole. (or maybe Ghost) So !@#$%^&* at them

Mackie is a good guy go easy on him. Most of the people talking !@#$%^&* about him dont even know the guy. On a side note

I think the name/ban issues needs to be watched by several people. and issues handled quicker

What the heck is this all about?

1) Who cares about SSHQ? It was last popular in 2002, when the world was an entirely different place.

2) We have new sites now.

3) Wtf, a pe!@#$%^&*ion? You do realize that these never work unless you are an influential politician or have one in your pocket?
