Paint a big black square over everything. Then redraw your own ship.

Cut a small hole in the middle of a piece of paper -- Put the paper over your monitor so all you can see is your ship in the middle hole.

For added effect use a black piece of paper with stars painted on!

 

For nighttime play use the stick on glow in the dark stars!
