JoWie Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Here is a suggestion I would find very useful: Reusable pieces of your map, probably not the best example of a proper interface, but it shows what I mean. It would also be possible to place a LVZ image inside a piece. This would be very useful to place a lot of trees in a map for example. Such a tree would contain solid tiles and a LVZ image. Instead of going to the edit LVZ dialog, adding a new object id, placing it on the map, setting tiles under it. You just need 1 click per tree. Quote
Samapico Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 Yeah I was definitly thinking about something like that... This kind of thing would even allow you to expand your tileset with lvz-based tiles easily This, as alot of other lvz-related stuff, will probably be worked on once we stabilize the current version; we still have some annoying stuff... and we definitly need to speed up selection Hmmm I was wondering where could we put such a thing... I like the tabs thing... simple, efficient... flexible. In a perfect world, a normal user wouldn't even have to know he's working with LVZ or whatever... He'd just add stuff and images on his map and it would look nice.Actually, ALL lvz image placement could be done with that 'Custom tiles' tab, or Map objects as you called it. Quote
Drake7707 Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 in a perfect world i wouldn't be even working on DCME anymore so shush Quote
RiiStar Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 oh, another tought Auto-LVZ'ing for backgrounds...Say you have a square gr!@#$%^&* image, you could select that image in the lvz manager and click a button "Tile-Background" and it'll add it over the entire arena... CLT has something like this if i recall... Yay for making more work for you guys Quote
