Russky Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 (edited) Well Microsoft got me by the !@#$%^&* at last, to get Platform SDK which is required to write .dll files, you need to validate your windows and my xp pro isn't exactly 'valid' =[ Any ideas/help? Edited July 19, 2007 by Russky
CRe Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 Did you download the installer yet or when you tried downloading it, it didnt work?
Russky Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 (edited) Thanks for sending it to me I can not believe it's a 1GB download, I will have to leave it overnight I guess. And another question for those of you that use Dev C++, does that work as well? Edited July 19, 2007 by Russky
Smong Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Cyan~Fire supposedly made edits to merv to make it work in devcpp but I've never tried it. Devcpp also works with ASSS.
Russky Posted July 20, 2007 Author Report Posted July 20, 2007 I got it working experimenting right now my book doesn't come till like 8 days.
CRe Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 Pretty much an e-library. http://books.google.com/
Russky Posted July 21, 2007 Author Report Posted July 21, 2007 Sweet! I found a good book I am starting with C!
»doc flabby Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 The c++ express is a waste of time, you better off using dev-c++ or torrenting the full version of visual studio pro 2005

tcsoccerman Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 I agree w/ doc flabby. Dev c++ is good for non windows apps programming. the only advantage to visual studios is the visual part for windows programming, atleast imo.
»D1st0rt Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 use gtk and glade for user interface coding
