Smong Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 I don't like programs that auto update so I renamed the msinet.ocx. I rarely use a map editor so I can put up with the msinet.ocx missing "nag screen" warning, but it would be nice if you added an option to disable auto updates. Say first time DCME is run it will ask you if you want to enable auto updates, if you select no it won't keep moaning about the missing msinet.ocx. There could also be an option under the help menu to toggle autoupdate on/off so it can be re-enabled.
🜲 Samapico Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 There is already an option for that in preferences... You can have it search for updates automatically every time DCME starts, every day, every month... or neverYou can also check for updates manually from the Help menu http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg/120px-Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg.pngDCME co-developerSSCU 17th Parallel sysop
Hakaku Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 (edited) Edit: there's no never, but I'd imagine disabling the checkmark does the same thing?
