Yavaris Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 At busy internet times (evenings), my C2S in SSCI Fusion goes up to about 6%. Now this is probably an overloaded node somewhere between my place and their server, since I don't have it in any other zone. Then I noticed the proxy option. I tried some free socks5 proxy servers I found on the internet but they didn't work. Can it be done?If so, does anyone have a working proxy address for me? (after 50 diff proxies I gave up the search) http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/5232/sigyavaris7jd0.jpg
★ Dav Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 In theory this should be 100% possible, there are many routes for data to travel to get to the servers but i sont have any idea how to do it in continuum. I would be interested to find a way to do this though, I often experiance similar problems. SSCC Desert Storm OwnerSSforum Admin
★ Maverick Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 It should work but usually you won't be able to find a proxy that allows connections on ports that Continuum uses and even if it does, the connection isn't better then your own connection. (way way worse instead) Check out your zone population statistics at stats.sshq.net! MaverickSubspace Statistics AdministratorRetired SSCU Trench Wars Super ModeratorTWCore Coordinator Administrator
★ Dav Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Is there any other way to force packets to take an alternative route known? SSCC Desert Storm OwnerSSforum Admin
★ Maverick Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Nope, not that I know of. It's not up to the user to decide/control that. Check out your zone population statistics at stats.sshq.net!
