Wow this post is just too dang long to read... to me there is no debate... the facts are in The Bible, and in short if you don't believe in the Resurection of Jesus Christ, well, you're going to !@#$%^&*, plain and simple. It's pretty easy to understand if you take the time to pray for wisdom, understanding and discernment.

Whether you live to be 20 or 100, that's a very short time in Gods timing from the beginning until the end. Like a brief second, or nano second. Its what we do with our second in time, how we use our given time to worship him and love others. We are given life through the blood of Jesus Christ, and through his resurection an eternal life after this one.

An even better question to ask here is, of the 22% who claim to be Christians, how many believe in the Resurection? There are many truths that are not in The Bible, however EVERYTHING in The Bible is the Truth, if you don't believe in the Resurection you need to do some more research into what is and what isn't.

God is the most narcisistic creation in my opinion. He created angels only to obey and praise him, humans who he gave free will but if they dont praise him get !@#$%^&*ed for eternity. I personally wouldnt want to be !@#$%^&*ociated with someone so self loving.

TRP, were you the one kid in class who would always randomly say something so incredibly obnoxious and intolerant that no one would know if you were joking or not and everyone would be really, really uncomfortable afterwards?

Yah, so i only read the first and last pages of this, so maybe i missed some stuff. First off, i am morman, or more correctly, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I see by the pole that i am the only one (mormon) who has replied to this. First off, a smal correction, mormons are in fact Christians. Its true. We believe in god and Jesus just like the rest of the christians. Just thought i would say that, because alot of people seem to think otherwise.

Secondly,

And why do people think the main goal of christians is go to around converting everyone? It's not a numbers game, and it's not like the more people one person converts the better chance that person has of getting into heaven (like the Mormons). I'll admit, there are christians out there who think the more good they do the better chance they have at getting into heaven (Catholics mainly) but that's not the case.

obviosly you dont know much about mormons. we do not believe that "the more people you save the better chance you have of getting into heaven." It is true that we have many missionaries all over the world, but that has nothing to do with self gain or increased favor in the sight of god. it is simply to offer the chance to all people to find what might be missing in their life.

what a bunch of bs.

There are eternal laws in place in the universe that proclaim, if someone sins, there are going to be eternal consequences. God sent his son to redeem EVERYONE of the burdon of those sins. All we have to do is repent. God is not out to get glory, rather his glory is to bring about our eternal life, through obidience to his commandments.

TRP don't be too offended by what people say; people on both sides of the issue believe they are 100% right and everyone else is an idiot, for which no rational argument will accomplish anything. These people should just be ignored.

I do have a few comments, the first is on your comment that "that's a very short time in Gods timing ... Like a brief second, or nano second". I've also heard that time can go really slow for God since He sees everything everyone does all the time. Also, current science theory is that time is relative to how fast one is traveling through space: it is a consequence of space itself. It would make much for sense for God to be outside of space, and therefore outside of time.

As for mormans, I believe you have to !@#$%^&*he 10% of your earnings to the church. Why is this a requirement? If someone is barely making ends meet wouldn't this just be a large burden on them and their family? Also you claim that mormans believe in jesus and therefore are christians. By that definition, muslims also believe in jesus (that he was a prophet, not the messiah), so you would also consider muslims to be christians?

Also, when things are intelligently designed they serve a purpose for the creator. People make watches to keep track of time for them. If God is all-knowing and all-powerful then what the !@#$%^&*? Humans serve no purpose to such a God. In addition, an all-knowing God implies that humans lack free will, since if God knows what choices we are going to take, we can not diverge from this path.

i personally believe the morman faith is one of the most elaborate cults i have ever seen, my old HS english teacher was morman and always had debates in class about it but w/e

and how is what i say such a load of bs you just mindlessly follow a book written by humans who thought women were witches. More sin has been brought from religion than anything else. Christianity is just one of the most violent religions there is and has been.

Wacko to Human Translation:

I can't be bothered to read other people's opinions because i know the truth. To me, i can't debate. The hole in my head is filled by the Bible. God loves me and hates you. I have wisdom, understanding and discernment... that i prayed for.

Use your short time on this Earth to worship a being that is invisible to your senses. God is timeless and thus already knew that mankind would sin and Jesus wuld have to be resurrected. He created our sin, but don't let that bother you. Just remember, drink some wine that represents this 2000 y/o dead guy's blood, and through some unscientific process you get to live forever, OK? Great, now give my church money or go to !@#$%^&*, OK? Awesome, now bend over..

The idea that so many of you are going to !@#$%^&* gives me great pleasure. My beliefs show me how much better i am than you. I can't ever admit this, but that's where the Wacko-Human Dictionary comes in. God will never know. I mean, there has to be plenty of Christians who don't even believe the resurrection as blindy as i do! I am so special and perfect. Makes the rest of my pathetic life seem so irrelevent... what a comfort.

I don't believe anyone here to be an idiot, not one.

I a non-morman, also !@#$%^&*he every thing I earn. Why? Because The Bible, GODS WORD says to do so. It's all his anyways. If I'm faithful in giving 10% of what I earn, I get so much more back. It would make much more sense to you if you researched !@#$%^&*hing. Again, so many people are missing fruit they have no idea is hanging right in front of them.

Um, without sounding too self-righteous, YES, it says that in The Bible. It's so plain and easy to see that the majority of people see it without even realizing it. I'm not a great Christian by any means, just forgiven by the Blood of Jesus's death and Saved through HIS resurection.

I wouldn't say lies. It's merely full of ridiculous and unsubstantiated theories that are written in such a way as to make proving it wrong near impossible. God magicked the world! Can we prove it wrong? No. Is it a theory worth anyone's consideration? No.

Rofl i love how bak and picard blew this topic open again... morons lol.

As far as everything I said abotu catholics bak, its not because I was told (and thus believed? I dont believe everything im told fool), its based on what I see and hear from the hundred or so Catholics that I know.

Sever, as far as being near impossible impossible to prove wrong, all the stuff about whether or not it can be true also goes for evolution. THE ONLY FACT IN THE CREATION V EVOLUTION DEBATE is that NEITHER CAN BE PROVEN. They simply can't be... until/if Jesus returns in which case that would settle the argument.

And masscarnage, I laugh at you for saying Christianity is the most violent religion there is. Your absolutely hilarious, classic.

And about mormons: there are a couple friggin crazy rules they have... My cousin's best two friends are mormon, and as per their religious laws, they can't invite my cousin to their weddings.

I reallly dont want to get into a whole argument about this. Obviosly everyone has their own oppinions here. Mostley, i just want to maybe make some corrections/enlightenments about mormans, since you all seem to think you know about them, but really you may have it wrong.

Firstly,

We have something called the Articles of Faith, written by Joseph Smith, that basicly give an overview of some of the things we believe in. Anyway, the 11th article of faith goes like this: "We claim the priveledge of worshipping God according to the dictates of our own concsious. We allow all men the same privaledge, let them worship how, where, or what they may."

I stand by that. I'm not going to try to persuade any of you.

Second,

@Bak. Who told you it is a REQUIREMENT to pay !@#$%^&*hing? Not true. The church askes that you pay the Lord 1/10 of your earnings. No will tell you you have to. It is entirely up to you. But blessings come with obaying commandments, and thats why we do it: We've been asked to.

@Thunder. Marriage takes place for time and all eternity in the Temple. You cannot enter the Temple without being an Endowed member and holding a Temple recommend. This means that a) You are a member and have recieved your Endowments, and B) You have been interviewed by your bishop and found worthy to enter the Temple. The Temple is a sacred place, and you have to live worthily to enter there. Thats why your friends or cousins or whatever couldnt go to the wedding. They could still go to the reception though.

Anyway, I dont want to argue with any of you, I just wanted to make some things clear.

stalin killed more people then the crusades, salem witch trials is like a dozen people??

@mormans: i heard that in the 1960's the moroms got a message from God saying black people were no longer inferior to white people

@bible: it says if you kill the servant(slave) of someone else you owe them a goat as payback. how come we believe some things in the bible and not others? who chooses what we believe?

@creationism_vs_evolution: we can't prove whether gravity attracts objects together or it's God's intervention forcing them together.

The crusades were carried out in the name of Christianity (ordered by the pope).

Stalin's communist purges were not carried out in the name of atheism.

Stalin could have been a muslim, a jew, or a !@#$%^&*ing monkey... his atheism didn't mean a thing.

Next.

Meanwhile Stalin had to elevate his own status to that of some sort of Commy super being, a god even, to do what he did. The moral of the story any time there is a God involved or someone claiming to be superior or following the word of someone superior it can end in m!@#$%^&* murder. Edited by AstroProdigy

yo if jesus returns there is still no way to prove creationism occured. it is just a theory supported by jesus, just as provable as the theory that humans evolved from a spaghetti monster.

but you make a valid point

(and jesus aint goona return, lol)
