sabastious Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 I have kind of a unique situation. The only internet that is avialable to me is a technology called ISDN. I have a 3Com Office Connect ISDN Modem/Router. This is the strangest thing. Every once in a while I can open continuum and the zones will load fine, but its a very rare case. Most of the time it acts like I have no internet connection and all the zones are red, even when my internet connection is working properly. Any ideas to what might be causing this? Oh and I do have a LinkSys DSL router in the mix too. But I have connected my computer directly to the ISDN modem with the same results. Thanks ahead. Sab
Shock Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Troubleshoot by hooking the modem directly to the PC and seeing if it works.
sabastious Posted July 6, 2007 Author Report Posted July 6, 2007 I dont have any other choice It seems Continuum uses a random UDP port when it opens up. This might be what my ISDN router doesnt like. One of those random ports worked at one point in time, because once when I opened it everything was working fine. Any ideas of how I could get this working? Troubleshoot by hooking the modem directly to the PC and seeing if it works. Tried that, same results.
Shock Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Each zone uses a different port. Do you have any software firewalls on? That'd be my first guess. If you got the same results without using the router, then your ISP might automatically block ports for you. Try calling their customer service and telling them your situation. You'd probably get more help from them than you would from us.
