Gibbit Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 How the !@#$%^&* do you get far in tower defence!!! took me 10 tries just to get past the Immune/Fast guys... then the !@#$%^&* hard guys murdered me! lol I just wanna get far enough to try out the combo towers or this'll nag at me forever..... whats your strategy's?
Ill_Whip_You Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 At first just use fast towers until lvl 7 when you get a bit of wood. Then delete all those and use fire towers. =)Try not to spend all your money either, so you get more interest. That's the easy way to start off..

Aileron Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Man, I know the feeling. I got past the "!@#$%^&* Hard" 1, 2, & 3 guys only to get murdered by the "HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?" guys. I've personally found that water towers combined with upgraded cannons, fire towers, and rockets are effective since the "!@#$%^&* Hard"s are not immune. The water tends to slow them down into dense clunks and the splash damage from the cannons and fire towers multiplies. I should consider adding more games or possibly starting some kind of tournament.
Falcoknight Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 The only way to score high in the game is to only use cannons (and obviously air towers for the air levels, don't try to be a smart-!@#$%^&*) and spend all your wood on interest.
Smarties Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 interest > fire > interest > interest is the key to scoring good with your wood, you only need cannons and the little pipsqueek arrow things for the first 14 levels, then add a fire tower every 1 to 2 levels, then upgrade then add more, etc you can remove the cannons and pipsqueeks by now, once you get 2000 gold your making 600g a round by interest, then it adds up, then the final levels you can either go all out on fire towers all upgraded or keep saving up to 20k gold, then you got the champ score
Falcoknight Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 You don't need fire towers, don't waste a wood on them.The newer version at the site where they got the game has more levels, and it's possible to score upwards of 250,000. But the only way of doing so is if you ONLY USE CANNONS, and anyone who has scored that high knows it's pretty easy after you get the hang of it.

Falcoknight Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Hey, Guess what, beating the game doesn't mean crap.I've beaten the game with combo towers, cannons, water towers, fire towers, and earth towers. The only thing you can't beat the game with is Arrow towers and Air towers.What matters is your score.Plenty of people beat the game and got like, 6,000 as a score.I died on the last level and I still almost doubled Dav's highscore, which had held its spot for almost a month.
