The Apache Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 sigh, terrorism in scotland?! two men, who were on fire, drove a car that was on fire with was loaded with petrol, gas cylinders + nails. lucky none of them really exploded, apart from people hearing a few bangs and that's all. i never actually thought it would happen all the way up there in scotland, but either way it was successfully dealt with by the police. so now, the terror levels in UK are on critical and the security is being stepped up in every airport in the UK, and even in america. source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/6257194.stm your thoughts?
Dav Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 Well so soon after the attempted attack in london which sounds similar to this I would say a group somewhere has multiple attacks planned. This is all relevant to the discussion in the UK foreign policy topic.
Hoch Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 Like the rest of the UK this is not the first time Scotland has beena victim of terrorism. Nonetheless, and I disagree this should bepart of the 'British Foreign Policy' thread, these events were obvi-ously timed to coincide with the elevation of Gordon Brown toprime minister and (most likely) the second anniversary of the events on 7/7. -Hoch
