A question for staff

Right now I am sort of confused. I went to Public Arena 1 with a friend because SharpFlame said it was legal. Then about 5 minutes later or so, Masaru came and said that we shouldn't be there. Me and my friend weren't fined which is good but I'm wondering what the real answer is. Can I or Can I not be in the arena Public 1?

I think masaru and swift are wrong. Trade killing isn't an issue any more, because of various fixes put in place. But I'm not an authority, so we'll have to wait for d1 to weigh in.

i remember going into sub arenas, so i can duel in peace and do random things with my roommate... and no1 had a problem then... so y now...

 

if i had a purpose to go to pub i would... for the record.. mods were on when i did this and never said anything to me... so i figured it was ok...

 

ide say have your fun in pub 1 if u wanna... as long as you dont trade kill, or anything else... and most like;y a mod will come in anyway to check up on you... or if i were on.. ide come in and see for myself and if u were doing anything bad ide screen shot you and give to mods... but that's just me

I duel in separate arenas on occasion if I want it private.

I guess the main problem was and is that it's considered Tradekilling. When I first heard about the rule, I disagreed with it completely but that is what was said. Since D1 is in charge of the rules as doc has sort of said.. I guess it's upto him whether the rule still exists or does not.

Stay out of alternate pubs for the time being, I'll try to get a duel arena set up for people who want to do that. I'm also going to be looking into having rewards disabled for non-0 pubs unless a mod activates them

if it's occupied you can ?go duel2, duel3 etc

 

right now you can only get into the boxes in tiny ships, but we got map people working on it

its me neptune was with and we started off in base 8 to duel then alot of ppl showed up for some reason so we went to various arena's because ppl wer killing us while we were trying to duel and they kept following us :S and then sf and masa showed

up and was basically accusing us of tradekilling.

Peh. Using an ancient term like "hacking" to describe what any child capable of using a computer can do is laughable. I'm willing to bet you don't even have the slightest clue how the tool you're using works.

edit2: As for the topic...The way I see...do what you want and if you get banned, suck it up. It's a free game so you really don't lose anything. Unless you get net banned...then you lose your e-friends and possibly your e-life. I foresee someone telling them not to listen to me, or simply to edit the post, but whatever.
