Incomplete Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 When I try to start up continuum, the splash screen comes up as usual but when i click to enter a zone the screen comes up as your about to enter the zone then it minimises. Continuum stays in the task bar but i can't do anything with it except for right clicking and closing it.Got any idea why?
Hakaku Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Try switching back to the Continuum program by using alt+tab. Never fails
Incomplete Posted June 25, 2007 Author Report Posted June 25, 2007 Ive tried that, still didnt work. Sometimes it will let me enter a zone but then im stuck in ticker and can only chat.
Shock Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 That usually happens if you alt tab on the entering arena screen. Maybe something is opening behind Continuum and not letting it full screen?

Maybe something is opening behind Continuum and not letting it full screen?Yeah, but he just said no. That's easily fixed by alt+tabbing again, which is not the case. @Incomplete: What do you mean by "stuck in ticker"? What OS are you running? Have you tried runninf Continuum in Windowed mode?
Incomplete Posted June 26, 2007 Author Report Posted June 26, 2007 I think its to do with the Microsoft Xbox 360 Crossfire PC Peripheral that I bought. I unplugged it and it seems to work ok. Weird. Hope no one else comes across this...
Incomplete Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 Ok, it's still doing it even after it's unplugged...

I'd have to exit the program completely and restart it. Incomplete: You should single out programs one-by-one until you figure out which program is making this happen.
Incomplete Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 I think its the program for that Microsoft Xbox 360 Crossfire PC Peripheral thing i bought. When I end its process it works most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't so I dont know if this is whats causing it or not. If it is then whenever I want to play Continuum i'll just have to end its process which is gay. :/ Alot of trouble just for a 2d space game.
Shock Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I have no idea what this "Microsoft Xbox 360 Crossfire PC Peripheral thing" is.. So, I can't say if I'd prefer it over a 2D space game.
Incomplete Posted June 29, 2007 Author Report Posted June 29, 2007 It's so I can use my xbox 360 wireless control on my PC. Check the link above. I bought it so I could play Tomb Raider Anniversary with my 360 control.
Shock Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 That shouldn't be the problem. My friend has that on his computer and I can play Continuum on it fine.
Incomplete Posted July 5, 2007 Author Report Posted July 5, 2007 I'm almost 100% sure that its Xboxstat.exe (in task manager processes) thats stopping Continuum from opening properly.
Incomplete Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Posted August 29, 2007 Wouldnt there be a way of updating the client so that it doesnt conflict with it?I'm not at home so I can't tell if I have the same problem with the Xbox 360 reciever thingy that I had trouble with before.
»Maverick Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 I have no idea what you're talking about, incomplete.
Incomplete Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Posted August 29, 2007 Well. I have this thing so I can connect my xbox 360 wireless controller to the PC. The software it runs stops continuum from starting up. Heres the topic i made about it.http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=15979 EDIT: It still seems to happen, not much of a bother to me though because i know how to fix it. Just bring up the task manager, click on the processes tab and end process xboxstat.exe.
