Hakaku Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Spawned after a merger debate on SubSpace's article on Wikipedia, I noticed (as someone pointed out) the whole article is practically unreferenced. Because of this, some !@#$%^&* is bound to eventually apply delete tags sooner or later, just as they've been/had been doing with the Cosmic Rift and Infantry articles. So since this concerns our game, and have used that Wiki as a reference, it'd be nice if people could help start referencing a lot of the information that's up there, before someone does put the article up for deletion.
Gravitron Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Well, how about instead you have Polix set sshistory.sscentral.com and then you won't need to depend upon a third party source, which just happened to be the land of GHEY, to describe the and reference game's history?Since every god !@#$%^&* newbie in this game wants to rewrite the history in their own image, anyway... Or, alternatively, you can pull a rabbit out of the hat. I believe Hoch can help with the phrasing. How the !@#$%^&* are you supposed to reference a niche online game that when it was around there was barely any Internet and since then 99% of the websites which supported it ceased to exist?!@#$%^&*, even web.archive.org purged most of the pages from that period of time. We're lucky enough to have enough vets around to even remember the game's original creators.
Dav Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Just throw in a referance to the game guide and a few website hostories and we should be safe.
Hakaku Posted June 26, 2007 Author Report Posted June 26, 2007 Don't worry grav, I entirely agree. But there's been a lot of people in the past who reference the wikipedia, and sooner or later some person is bound to put it up for deletion as the wiki article itself isn't referenced. So perhaps (once the main website is done) setting up a history page on sscentral would be a good idea.
