Terrier Nerf

Nice job reducing the recharge, speed and energy. Basically, it is an oversized tin can now.

The only people using them now are the ones who haven't logged on for a few days and don't realize they are useless.

 

Maybe Levis and Spiders can get whacked with the nerf bat next, so all the wb/jav fanboys can stop whining.

IMO levis and spiders are fine, terriers were overpowered, if you dont think so, find relos's post on shipsettings and compare them to the other ship settings. Also, proof of terriers overpowering can be simply found in looking at the number of players using the ship at any given time, if masses of players are using the same ship (as was in the terriers case pre-nerf), it is pretty good evidence something needs to be changed. I honestly think the shredder should have just been removed from terrier (or all together), but brain took an alternative route. Either way, something needed to be done to terrier.

I agree with the shredder being removed from the ship. I think that would have been more logical.

Of what use are terriers now? Target practice?

They would still be a little bad since they would have their massive energy if you just did that "take away an item" idea. Nooo, this depends on the ships energy and mobility. It needed the energy drop.

I wasn't for the nerf to start, but I sold my terr before it because it was just too lame and everyone complained. I think the nerf was well deserved looking back on it. I don't think spiders and levs need a nerf at all.

Levs do need a nerf hardcore. NO ship should be able to have as much energy as a lanc at all. Its just lame and stupid if it does and can rush past people like that noob leviticus.

If Levis rushing in bases is a real problem, maybe we should take away their rockets. Dr Brain explained to me why he wanted the Levi with more HP, so taking away rockets may be an agreeable solution. I agree that Levis can be really powerful rushers given enough money to upgrade it.

Quigy the changes a while back to lanc and levi energy just about killed all levi or lanc rushing. Thus, if you were here more often, you would notice that no one lanc/levi rushes anymore. Everyone shark rushes now

 

Also the levi needs its high energy as its rool is that of a heavy bomber. Take away its energy and leave it with its mobility, then you have a very slow jav who doesnt even have enough energy to fire MOAB's and tacnukes.

Levi rushes only works well when they still have rocket or rocket is still going. Once they depleted their rocket, they are basically sitting duck. If you make your levi into a rushing ship, your basically throwing away the best bomber ship to rush =/

 

Besides, leviticus seems to eat half of the burst that is thrown against him/her.

Levi nerf suggestion: their fast bomb speeds with some bombs give me issues.

i suggest giving em a more delayed version of some of the bombs, like how it can only have tac and moab,

like a falcon missile, with prox, but more delay. just not crazy delay like the other bombs.

 

other than that i can handle em with a good thrust warbird if i keep circling em.

 

in base, their rushing ability with rockets are pretty irritating.

 

but i liked having a negative speed with ball and chain levi >_> i want it back =o

 

then again, slowing the rotation, would sound perfect to me, in weakening their rushing ability to a decent level, and their centering ability

If a fat ship like a spider doesn't get rockets, a levi shouldn't either.
