Ok, following the better advice of fellow subspacers and in addition to the beautiful castle map that Yavaris designed, I would like someone to construct a CTF map using the following guidelines:

  • Teams will probably be squads of 3-6 players per side. Generally, a smaller map.
  • The grounds will primarily consist of grass (see below)
  • Optional obstacles and/or alternative pathways - however, leave enough open space for snipers and machine gunners to employ fields of fire. Perhaps alternative routes would be on the sides and not near the center of the map.
  • Generally design walls 1-2 tiles thick.
  • The map should generally be symetrical but try to keep it exciting. If you can leave your safe and shoot directly across to kill the nme that would be bad. Change things up a little.

If you design this, please apply acceptable design rules including:

  • Do not use a map from another zone.
  • Do not use tilesets from another zone unless you have exclusive permission.
  • Do not use special tiles.

Optionally, here are some ideas that could spice up the design:

  • use wormholes to add areas where players could speed through from one point to the next - like HS's tunnels.
  • use safeties in areas around the map so players can rest.
  • Add 2x2 square tile areas representing tree stumps. I have tree graphics. (see below)

If you want to use one or two simple colored blocks and design a nice map, i can design the tileset after the map is done. (Change in requirements)
