Guest Knightflame Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Yay for promoting ignorence! No you are the ignorant one for not seeing god. I will ask you to stop posting.
»Admiral Kirk Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 doc, you cant post directly to the trash can ^^ so that would be impossible
Dav Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Can you add agnostic to this? Ill leave this hear for now to see how it unfolds, if its famed it can go to wormhole or if it become a serious debate ill send it to politics.
NBVegita Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 The bigger question would be: Do you believe christ, the human being existed? Or Do you believe in Jesus Christ, the son of god, savior of man. Either way... lol.
Hoch Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 I'm not trying to be a smartarse (trust me, you would knowotherwise ), but I don't understand the question. I premisethis remark by stating that I normally avoid 'religious' issues, but what exactly is the question asking? Let me try to explainwhy I do not understand the question. The thread is en!@#$%^&*led 'Christ: Do you believe'. Okay, no prob-lems there. Then there's a poll which states 'Christianity: Doyou believe in Christ; Yes or No'. No major problem here, butI question whether it was necessary to throw in the Christian-ity bit. Then there's the first post 'Are you going to heaven?'This is where things tend to go off the rails, as it were. So, I am being asked if I believe in Christ? Or, am I beingasked if I believe in Christ as a foundation of Christianity.Or, am I being asked that I believe in Christ, which out ofhim Christianity was formed, and consequently do I believeI will go to heaven? See the problem here? Which is it? For me at least, yes I believe in Christ. I believe that therewas a man that walked this Earth that called himself Jesus. But that's about as far as it goes. I do not believe he was theson of G-d, nor do I believe any of the basic tenants formingpart of Christianity. But I still believe 'in' Christ. Though myinstincts tell me it's more of 'Christ is the son of G-d' kind ofthing Just my two pence, -Hoch
wub Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 this should be changed to, "do you believe in a God"
Drake7707 Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 depends on what your understand under 'believe in'. Do you mean 'do you believe he existed' or 'do you seek help and pray to him/her when you're in trouble or thank him/her if you got lucky'. Either way both for me are no. Everything just merely related to religion/church is a lie to me (i rather make my own decisions and beliefs than being told what to believe in)
Guest Knightflame Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Seriously guys this is not a joke and I am just so confused, you all try to put science in it. My questions were the same for whoever said that Do you believe in god and are you going to heaven were different. If you truly believe in your heart that the son of God(not i did not put g-d/dont be afraid to write GOD)died for your sins and that he rose from the dead and that you shall meet him in heaven. Now the bible says that all you have to do is repent and accept him. It is fairly easy and you will find out all of this once he is in you and your life is changed for the better. Now i know some of you that put science to the test saying"How could someone just be there". Well how could the earth be made (a comet-no,molecules-no) hows the universe made the big bang?-no big bangs supposedly come from a black hole so how did the black hole get made? GOD! How did GOD make the universe? Genesis 1The Beginning 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. 6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. 9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. 14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day. 20 And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day. 24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." 29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Please pay attention where do you want to end up !@#$%^&* or Heaven no joke! The human body is just too complex to be made "accidentally". TRUST THE LORD!
Dav Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 You are 100% right the human body is far too complex to happen bu accident, doesn't discount evolution tough as evolution suggests no such thing.
LiDDiS Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Is it !@#$%^&*ing jehova's witness recruiting week or something? I've seen posts like this in a bunch of forums I visit, this week.
SeVeR Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Is it !@#$%^&*ing jehova's witness recruiting week or something? ROFL Genesis 1The Beginning 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning In the beginning there was a monkey-giraffe-goat and his slave, the fish-snake-toblerone. They had nasty beast sex and the animal kingdom was born. They all floated around in nothingness until a walrus-pirate-ninja did a massive dump, which exploded into the universe. They all lived happily ever after. The End. Do you believe me knightflame? My story has as much basis in reality as yours. If you believe a story with no supporting evidence then you should believe mine.
Drake7707 Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Do you believe me knightflame? My story has as much basis in reality as yours. (yeah i couldn't resist) not everything needs evidence, but things that don't need evidence should be considered to be kept to yourself (or there will be a lot of people be annoyed by your pointless are stupid remarks, altough they might sound perfectly logical to you) But really, don't you think the whole christianity stuff is just a tad-little farfetched (just like all other major religions out there) ? It's almost as bad as the whole conspiracy theorist people But hey, people just seem to like proving their stupidity over and over again so it doesn't surprise me anymore
PoLiX Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 Is it !@#$%^&*ing jehova's witness recruiting week or something? I've seen posts like this in a bunch of forums I visit, this week. They got tired of always seeing naked men at their doors with shotguns... guess they had to do it another way.

Samapico Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 uh... I just can't answer this vague question...Did Jesus exist? yeah, most likely. Was he a good man? probably. Was he the son of God... or God himself (never understood that part, really)? that's not what I think. Is it okay to believe in God? yeah, sure... if it helps you.Should you believe everything that is in the Bible? WTF no, 'PEOPLE' wrote it, they can't be all-knowing or whatever... They just wrote stories, which speak of good values through parables (is that how you call it?). It's like any Disney book... they always teach good values to children, but it's far from true. Why is Knightflame suddenly posting brainwash-y Christian 'OMFGI:pWill this topic get moved? yeah, most likely.
